Hi Cathe (or anyone else who can help)
I have a somewhat weird question. I used to lift weights for years and then stopped for about 8 years when I had kids. I got back into it on my own recently (and also finsihed P90x a few months back). My problem is, because I got back into it "unsupervised" (and P90x did not give any guidance as to the amt of weight to use) I just went with the amount of weight that felt good using the exercises that I used to do. But somehow, I messed up the weight of the various body parts and find myself not proportionately strong (especially in my upper body). That is, when I do your workout tapes, I can tell that some parts of my body are much stronger than others and I even look much "bulkier" in those places. For expample, my shoulders are very strong. I can keep up pound for pound with your weight on the shoulder exercises in the tapes I do. However, my biceps seem inproportionately weak and I have trouble keeping up with a weight lower than yours. This causes problems when I am doing some exercises, because the inproportionately weak muscles fatigue before the ones that I am supposed to be working out get to their failure point. Do you have any suggestions on what to do or do I just have to keep doing what I am doing and wait for the weaker muscles to "catch up"?
Thx!
