Hi Cathe and fellow fitness enthusiasts,
What nutriton or diet program do you follow, you look amazing. I am in desperate need of a diet makeover and would love some advice!

I personally have never had to go on a "diet", but revamped the way I eat about a year ago...I'm a huge fan of food combining...Read 30 Day Health Makeover by Marilu Henner.

I eat no pork, shellfish or dairy...Red meat on occation...

I know there are quite a few people on this board that totally DON'T agree with the thought process, but I FEEL great! My skin is GLOWING! And I've got energy to BURN! I don't remember EVER feeling this great in the 28 years I've been on this earth!

In good health!

MJ, I just read her 10 steps to get started, and I really like what she is about. I eat a lot like that, I think that many people on this forum do eat clean like she says, only I do eat dairy. I love cheese! But am very careful and only buy products that are hormone/steroid free and are from free range animals. And you are absolutely right, it is not a diet, it is a lifestyle.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one! Been chatting with another gal off the board about this, too...Sounds like her and DH are starting Monday!!

Do you have the green or blue book? I've got both, and it really covers all the bases...Her cookbook is also great!

It's amazing how many of the recipes I currently make can be modified to fit this lifestyle!

Hi Jolynn B.

Welcome to the site. Nice to have you join us.

I don't really discuss nutrition heavily on the site. It is such an individual thing based on age, activity level, genetics, etc. If I ever offer nutritional advice it is always the basics, since everyone can benefit from the basics.

But to answer your actual question, I don't follow any specific diet program. I just try to eat smaller (and nutritionally balanced) meals throughout the day and get lots of water and proper rest. I have found eating foods in their most natural state (as opposed to processed state) keeps me leaner and healthier. Good Luck!
