I always forget about it too because it's called Interval and is on a compilation...I'm glad she included it in this rotation:)

I'm in this rotation & loving it!!! I used to have IMAX original on VHS years ago. I just recently ordered it on DVD & it was fun! I forgot how much I liked that one back in the day. I did, however, modify just a few of the impact moves now that my aging body can get cranky if I do too much jumping.

My first IMAX was #2. Then came IMAX4 for me. I needed to upgrade my VHS Rhythmic Step to a dvd & got the original IMAX with it. I so enjoyed having 3 IMAXs that I ordered IMAX3 so I could do one a week for a month rotation like this one. I modify them to lower impact too, but I love the format! There's also a calorie crush bonus on LITE Cardio Party (I think it's that one) that's IMAX-ish.

I started kickboxing with the original PowerStrike VHS video with Patricia M & Iliana M (sp?), around 1999. It became our late Sunday workouts (Sunday mornings was always Leg Day back then. Saturday mornings were UB & Step. Funny, now Sundays are a rest day. I've like kickbox since then!

I like Cathe's take on kickboxing as well. Power strike was also my first experience actually enjoying kickbox videos. I'm glad I didn't quit trying it because I tried a Kathy Smith ( just ok) and a Denise Austin (awful!).

I never tried Denise until recently with a core dvd - she's tamer in it. I agree with Kathy Smith's take on kickbox - it's ok. I absolutely love KPC - I've looked forward to every Cathe kickbox since. A problem with the original PowerStrike on VHS was it was impossible to make a shorter workout as the routine was all one-sided before switching to the other side, so you had to be sure you had time for the entire workout.

I haven't watched the VHS in years but forgot about that!! :D I have the DVD of it (but kept the VHS anyway ;).)

Cathe's combos make sense to me. I can concentrate on increased effort and get a great workout. If the combos are fussy or too intricate then I don't enjoy the workout. I think that's why I look forward to the Cathe's even though I do have to add my own music to Cathe's.

Have you tried Les Mills combat? Love that style! Music is real upbeat, too.
