Hi, I have a friend that is early in her pregnancy and experiencing loose hip joints because of the pregnancy to the point that walking hurts. Does anybody here have any exercises that she can do to strengthen her hip joints. I, myself, never experienced loose joint til I was much further along than she is. She is about 11 weeks along.

Has your friend been pregnant before? Many women experience the effects of the hormone relaxin earlier in subsequent pregnancies than they did with prior ones.
If your friend's joint pain is limiting her ability to walk, she should definitely bring this up with her caregiver and if her insurance allows, seek out the services of a physical therapist who specializes in OB related problems. It is unfortunate that it is occurring so early in her pregnancy. She should make it a priority to get this checked out.
