not getting sore after workout anymore?

Hi, Everyone
I've been a Cathe fan for almost 6 years now.
But between 3 kids and par time job, I did not workout regularly for last 5 years.
I just started working out 5-6 days a week about 4 months ago, and I am feeling and doing great.

When I got back into working out again, I got nice sores after strength work and core work but now I really don't feel much after workout.
Am I using not enough weight?
I do use lighter weight than Cathe does for leg works on purpose so that I wouldn't get too bulky in my legs but for upper body work, I do push hard and use most weight I can without losing good form. I do get nice burn during workout but notice not much sore the day after.

Any response would be appreciated.
Thanks

Christie

You could try upping the weights even at the expense of doing less reps. Also if you're doing either a total body or a split weight routine, I found that by doing one body part per week I was able to go all out for that body part and got some nice soreness. I'm doing a rotation in the rotation forum that combines two of Cathe's workouts for each body part. For instance doing the chest work from PUB followed by the chest work from Pure Strength. I'm really enjoying it so far!

It sounds to me like you are just in good shape. I'm no expert, but when I get to a point where I'm not sore, I think it's because I workout regularly and I'm not out of shape anymore. As long as you feel the fatigue and burn while lifting, I think your fine. I actually hate being sore, because it makes working out the next day more difficult. Yesterday I did CK and repeated the leg drills chapter followed by BC lower body work. I can barely walk up the steps today. So today was C&W. :7

Thank you all for your responses.
I thought of doing split routine doing one body part a week but right now I'm concentrating more on cardio and total body work.
But I'll definitely try split routine soon. It is true that it's easier to give all and concentrate on one body part at a time.

Thanks Fab40 for thinking that I'm in good shape.:)
I'm just trying to look like Cathe... No just kidding:p
I did Imax2 yesterday and Bodymax today and my legs were getting killed!! during workout but I know I wouldn't get sore tomorrow.
I guess I'll mix up and change my routine in a couple of weeks to shake things up little bit.( I just ordered 4 more dvds!!)

Thanks

Christie
