Non latex green band in STS

Cathlete
I just started STS last week this is my second week on Meso 1 week one and I just received the non latex green band yesterday and used it for the first time today doing back and triceps. OMG!! what a difference that is from the old green bands. Did anyone else struggle to get a extension when using these the first time. I felt like on a few of the exercises I could not get the extension as much as I should have. But I'll keep trying.

These bands are very definitely a lot more resistant than any other bands I have used. I had to start Meso 1 with the pink(?) salmon(?) weird-colored band, but by the end I was mostly back to the green band.

I love the new bands!! And yes, they do offer more resistance than the older bands. I'm half way through M1 and I've noticed that it's beginning to loosen up a bit, but OMG, those band burners are... well ... really burney!!! :D

I too noticed how much harder the non latex bands are! If you are tall like me over 5'8" with long limbs I found the bands too small. I could not get the needed extension without straining. Needless to say, I strained my forearm and my STS CD's have been collecting dust ever since. :(
I hope this does not happen to anyone else. It could be that I was not in the best shape I should have been. I do follow Cathe's workout programs closely though so I was very surprised that I strained my forearm so easily.
I would be interested if anyone else who is tall has felt like the bands could be a bit longer.

Mary, I'm also 5'8. But the men on the sts series were using them and getting them extended and they are really tall. I'm thinking we just need to keep using them to loosen them up a bit. So sorry to hear about your forearm. Take Care, Lori
