'Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ‘Wow - what a ride!’ — Peter Sage

I find the same thing at my library. Actually, all the ones that I go to I find the same thing. People don't whisper anymore and it is noisy. Not at all like when I was growing up. Very annoying.

Hi Sparrow,
That remiminds me of the time a few years ago when I went to my local library to study. I am the type of person who needs complete silence to study or I am easily distracted. I got so frusterated because everytime I went to the library the librarians themselves would talk to each other out loud. I couldn't believe it. Finally, after a few days of this I finally confronted the librarians and asked them to please not speak so loud. They looked at me like I had six heads. I thought to myself "ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!????" ITS A LIBRARY!! If you can't find quiet there, where can you find quiet? So I understand your frustration too!

I so agree with the noise problem, even sleeping at night is not noise free, we have partiers who will party on the weekends till 3 am!!! sterio blaring and in the summer they ride their dirt bikes and 4 wheelers till about 1 am or later, gets on my nerves so much, I live in a fairly quiet neighborhood not to many loud kids, but we get those HOGS that go by a lot and those DRIVE ME CRAZY and people car stereos with extrememly loud bass it is the BOOM BOOM BOOM from their cars that I can't take, I tell my hubby I want to go to a beach for a vacation with NO screaming kids and no loud noises, I want to relax with NO NOISE to bug me LOL
