Today I felt better so I did some cardio + GS:C&T + some abs. I shortened the breaks between the sets of push-ups in C&T and I still felt fine, maybe in a couple of weeks I can do them exactly like Cathe and crew, or close (lol!). Then I waxed my car and I ended my day by watching the MLB playoffs (game 3 yankees vs. indians). My skin is looking better, but there's a lot of room for improvement. I'll be back at work on Tuesday. I'm stressed out about this stupid rash because I don't want to spend my birthday on Wed with my skin looking like this. I'm crossing my fingers and hopefully it'll look a lot better by then.

Catherine - That looks like a nice workout. SB, wow I miss that one too! There are a lot of workouts I miss.

Affirm - Hopefully you're done with you know what. :p
 
Hello Ladies. I am thinking about making a change to my routine. I am planning to give PM workouts a try. I have done this before and it worked out okay, but mornings have always been my thing. I was just thinking about changing things up a bit. I hope I don't have problems going to sleep.

Right now, I am helping my son study for a test. I plan to hit the step in a little bit. I will check back in later.

Affirm, I actually feel my w/o are stronger in the evening than in the morning. I hope it works for you!!

Eating is good today!! I did heavy upper body today and it felt good. Followed it up with IMAX 2 intervals 6-10.

Bench:

Pec Flyes: 25# DBs 6,6, &6
Barbell Row: 75# 6,6,6 & 6 (alternated under and over hand grip)
Lat Pulldowns: 80# 6 110# 6,6, & 6
OHP: warmup 15 # 6 reps
(2) 25#DBs- 5, 5, 4, 4 & 4
Skull Crushers: 20# 4, & 2 18.75# 6,6, & 6
Biceps: 22.5# DBs- 5,5,5, & 4

Increased wt and or reps on everything except pec flyes. So I am pretty happy with that.

Fitfairy, well a change in routine will be an adjustment if I stick too. I was just soo tired. I gave stuck with something light C &W on a regular step with cadio only.
 
How are you ladies? Yesterday I did Low Max but I've been so stressed out about my skin that I cheated on my diet all day long. I went to the doctor today and he said I might be making this worse with all the stress. He prescribed a cream for my face also. I've been tired all day so I didn't exercise today and I don't know if I will exercise tomorrow, but I will exercise for sure on Thursday.

Affirm - I think that you should workout whenever you feel more energized. For some people that's in the am for others it's pm. I definitely prefer pm, but sometimes if I know I'm going to be tired when I get back from work I make the effort and wake up earlier so I can workout in the morning. It's not my favorite thing in the world, but I've done it many times.

Catherine - Nice workout! I'm glad you ate well today. That's the toughest thing for me.
 
Hey ladies!! I took a rest day today. Went to the funeral home to visit an old friend whose mother died. I just didn't feel like working out after that. So my sister and I went out to eat. I had a salad and a glass of wine. Not bad, then I indulged in my favorite dessert- tiramisu :9 So there goes the eating x(

Rose, I hope your rash goes away soon. That is so frustrating!!

Affirm, I agree with Rose. Workout when you feel best. Some days that might be early, some it might be later.

Don't worry about the tiramisu Catherine. You'll get back on track tomorrow. I definitely have to stop thinking about this rash. I'm trying not to peek at myself in the mirror also. The doctor is probably right about stress making it worse. He said that I have to be realistic about my expectations and that I need to give it at least 5 days to disappear completely. We'll see.
 
Today I exercised first thing in the morning. Did KM's first 35 mins (before the blasts) + GS: BSB (increased the weight on most exercises) + a short ab session. I turned 29 today and I still can't believe it. A lot of people don't know my age and they usually guess 22 or 23 so I let them believe that haha! Anyway I'm going to see my parents and my mom will probably have great food and maybe a little surprise. I'm not too enthused about it because of my skin and I let her know just in case she wanted to invite some people. So it'll be pretty quiet tonight. I will celebrate on Sat Oct 20th though (lol!)

Rose- Happy Birthday!! Good for you for looking like you are in your early 20s!! All that hard work certainly pays off, doesn't it!! WTG on increasing your wts on GS BSB- those gym styles are tough!! I do hope you find time to celebrate your birthday appropriately :D

Today I got back on track with eating. I did P90X legs and back. Chinup sets:6,7,5,5,4,4,4,& 3. I would love to be able to repeat my 8 rep chinup set. Ultimately I want to be able to do sets of 10 and when I can do that I will add ankle wts }( }( I think I'm a long ways away from that :7

Happy Birthday Rose!! You are 10 years younger than me.

Right now, I don't seem to know when I have energy. I don't feel like getting out of bed in the mornings and with dinner, activities, homework, etc. I don't feel like it in the evenings.

Today was PUB. I will just see how it goes.
 
Thanks ladies! Well, last night I cheated like a maniac (I ate cake all night and many other things). I'm pretty sure that increasing my weights and working out first thing in the morning helped me balance my eating yesterday because today I did my usual Thursday weigh-in and I didn't gain an ounce. That's good I guess. I think I'm allowed to cheat on my birthday:p . Well that was my excuse anyway. Speaking of energy levels, today my levels were pretty low and I had GS Legs scheduled so I decided to skip it and I will do it tomorrow. The last time I did GS I wasn't feeling it as I normally do so I will increase the weight on all exercises (with the exception of dead lifts which I'm still modifying). I'm hoping I can do it first thing in the morning even if that means I have to wake up earlier.
 
Well it has been pretty hot and humid today. I tried to exercise first thing in the morning, but even with the a/c I was dizzy so I rescheduled GS Legs again and I did S,J&P step only premix (modifying the impact) + LL abs only. Short and not so hard, but at least I did something. My diet has been good so far today.

Affirm - I also hope you get your energy back soon. Sometimes that's the way our body tells us that we are either working too hard or that we need some rest.

Catherine - C&W on an 8" yay! It always feels different on an 8".

Rose, hot and humid? It was 40 something degrees here this morning LOL!! We almost went straight from summer to winter. Glad you were able to alter your w/o to fit your needs.

C&W on 8" was different. I wanted to do step and not as intense as say IMAX2 but not so easy as C&W-so I did it on 8" and I liked it.

Today I helped a friend clean her new house before she moves in. I haven't worked out. Not sure that I will. Tomorrow will be heavy legs :eek:

Hey ladies!! Eating has been good except did have dessert today. I'll give you 1 guess what :D

Today I did heavy legs. DH's shoulders were bothering him for no reason, but he said he'd help. I let him off the hook on the 100# calf raises

Squats: warm up 50# 1x10, 60# 1x8
heavy set: 85#- 6,6,6, & 6 (last week did 4x6 & 1x5 so 1 rep better)
RDLs: warm up 60# 1x10 80# 1x8
heavy set: 100# 6,6,6, & 6 (same as last week, still need more plates for BB to go higher )
Bulgarian Squats: (2) 20# DBs 6,6,6,6 (last week did 3x6)
Plies: 50# 12, 12, & 12
Calf Raises: 60# 2x35

Was planning to do pullups this afternoon, but went shopping instead :+

Hot and humid indeed. What the...it's October and even in Puerto Rico we get a break from the hot summer heat in the fall. I wouldn't say in the 40s but low 70s (and it was close to 100). It was pretty hot today too, but I managed to do GS Legs. I increased the weights and I'm definitely tired! My diet has been so-so, I could've done better, I had some chocolate and I also had Edy's Slow Churned Rocky Road ice cream, wow that ice cream is very tasty and it has half the fat without sorbitol or any of those bad ingredients. Tomorrow is my turn to go shopping. I have nothing to wear since pretty much all my clothes are too big for me. I was trying a pair of pants yesterday that I bought with a jacket as a suit a couple of months ago and the pants don't fit me anymore. I was shocked! I never need excuses to shop for fall clothes, but the fact that I have absolutely nothing to wear is a good one.:p

I hope you're both enjoying what's left of the weekend.
