No Sweets March 18 -24

How are you today? Wow! I went out for dinner and I got horrible heartburn for about 2 hours (I ate some fish and I'm pretty sure there was something wrong with it). Anyway, I'm starting to feel better now, but I was planning to do some yoga and I just can't because I'm dizzy and I'm still in pain. I'll get back on track tomorrow.

About IMax 3, I have improved a lot on high impact exercises since I started taking a joint supplement (also losing a couple of pounds like I've been doing doesn't hurt either). I would never do IMax 3 as a whole (I always do the premixes with 5 intervals). The impact would be too much. I love the intervals 6-10 premix because I can modify the those intervals easily if I think it's too much impact. Intervals 6 and 9 are not as high impact as the others. I used to modify interval 7 but the last two or three times I've done IMax 3 I do it exactly as Cathe (the first time I was so happy I could do it). The trick to accomplish that is to bend my knees slightly on all the landings and let my muscles absorb the impact and not my joints. Intervals 8 and 10 are high impact but you can always jump lower than Cathe or do substitute moves. Intervals 1-5 are harder to modify (especially the one with the olympic long jump which I'm off by about a foot on that one :p). I definitely gave it my all yesterday, I did all the intervals without modifications and I was jumping and tucking as high as I could. I have a love/hate relationship with the Imaxes though but after I do them I always feel as if I won the Ironman triathlon. :+

Hello ladies. It looks like we are wrapping up one more week of our challenge. Today was my swim day giving me a total of 4 days of exercise. I really would like to get it back up to 5, but my evenings are really busy and I have not been getting to bed as early. I have to get up no later than 4:15 in order to get my workout in.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Well last week of March is right there! Let's keep this going ladies!

Well my "heartburn" yesterday was actually food poisoning from the food I ate. I couldn't sleep at all last night and I was so tired today that I spend all day in bed and I couldn't exercise. I didn't do a thing which means tomorrow I have to get up early, exercise to get it out of the way, do my laundry, cleaning, etc. ughx(. Live and learn I guess. My diet has been great though because I'm barely eating. That's food poisoning for ya. My dinner was filled with complex carbs (brown rice, etc.) because I'm loading my carbs so I can exercise tomorrow morning. Otherwise I won't have enough energy. Oh well. It's okay. Easter is a week away and I get a whole week of vacation the first week of April. Yippee!

By the way, are any of you going to the road trip? I was debating whether to go or not and when I checked out the link it was sold out! I read it sold out in minutes. Bummer. Maybe next year.

Rose, sorry to hear about your food poisoning :( I had that once from seafood and thought I was dying!! I hope you are better. I wouldn't do anything too strenuous today. Just something to get you moving.

I have GSL on slot for today. Not feeling the love yet LOL!!
I am going on the road trip. I was amazed at how quickly it sold out too!! Looks like next year she might do two.

I feel better today, but not 100% better, KPC was on schedule for today, but I'll try it tomorrow. I think I'm going for a walk and add some jogging intervals in there for about 30 mins and then come back home and do some legwork and abs. Nothing too strenous though.

I hope Cathe is planning more road trips for next year.

Rose, glad you are better. I agree with doing something not so strenuous today. Take good care of yourself!!

OK I am back on track with eating today. Had my oatmeal for breakfast (always) protein shake with banana post workout and a big salad for lunch. Plan on chicken with veggies and pasta for dinner!!

I did GSL earlier- standing portion only and did a total of 21 chinups. I had a repeat of my 5 rep set again. It took me two weeks to do this again, but I am working on increasing my numbers. Slowly but surely I will get there!!
