How are you today? Wow! I went out for dinner and I got horrible heartburn for about 2 hours (I ate some fish and I'm pretty sure there was something wrong with it). Anyway, I'm starting to feel better now, but I was planning to do some yoga and I just can't because I'm dizzy and I'm still in pain. I'll get back on track tomorrow.
About IMax 3, I have improved a lot on high impact exercises since I started taking a joint supplement (also losing a couple of pounds like I've been doing doesn't hurt either). I would never do IMax 3 as a whole (I always do the premixes with 5 intervals). The impact would be too much. I love the intervals 6-10 premix because I can modify the those intervals easily if I think it's too much impact. Intervals 6 and 9 are not as high impact as the others. I used to modify interval 7 but the last two or three times I've done IMax 3 I do it exactly as Cathe (the first time I was so happy I could do it). The trick to accomplish that is to bend my knees slightly on all the landings and let my muscles absorb the impact and not my joints. Intervals 8 and 10 are high impact but you can always jump lower than Cathe or do substitute moves. Intervals 1-5 are harder to modify (especially the one with the olympic long jump which I'm off by about a foot on that one
). I definitely gave it my all yesterday, I did all the intervals without modifications and I was jumping and tucking as high as I could. I have a love/hate relationship with the Imaxes though but after I do them I always feel as if I won the Ironman triathlon. :+
