I hear you. I was sick all over Christmas and had to take 2 weeks off when it developed into sinus trouble. Then I realized that I could easily get used to sitting around watching TV and feeling sorry for myself and got off my butt and lifted weights for s couple of hours. That was all the impetus I needed. I have weight lifted for 2 hours three times this week and feel much more like more normal self, now I'm ready to get back to cardio.
Partly, I just wasn't ready to work out sooner than this, it was a very bad cold, and I have made a full recovery through taking the 2 complete weeks off, and partly, I knew the point had been reached where excuses to not work out were about to be made, so I kicked myself in the pants. This is the mental process that worked for me.
Significant depreciation of fitness levels begins after 2 weeks off. So you are still in the "can bounce back to form within one week" time frame. So if you don't feel like it yet, don't sweat it mentally. Take another few days off and then kick yourself in the pants! Or come back here and beg, and we'll do it for ya!@!!!
