Hi:

I posted this on the Open Discussions and someone suggested I post here also.

I am new to Cathe after hearing about her on another forum. I have used the FIRM for the past few years, but have been bored and not getting the results I want. I have a cone body shape and my upper body seems to be getting bigger instead of smaller.
I have almost all of Cathe's DVD's, but quite honestly, I really do not know where to go from here. I have mastered Low Impact Step and use Core Max and Strech Max often. I have also done Muscle Max and a premix on Pyramid Upper Body.
I would appreciate any advice you can give me.
Thanks.

Welcome newbie. I too am somewhat new to Cathe. About 2 years ago I bought PLB/PUB. I was a Firm diehard from 1990 until about 6 months ago. I have bought almost all of Cathes more recent from 1999 to present and love almost everyone. I just can't always catch on to the footwork right away. I just really try to mix it all up and I am starting to do more of the premixes. I am also trying the Freestyle Method idea of working lower body everyday to lean out my legs. I alternate heavy and then light. Heavy upper at least twice a week. Can't wait for the new 4-day split. I have spent a small fortune on her workouts but it is cheaper than gym membership. I am a very dedicated home workout person and have been since the Firm. This forum can be very helpful.

Since you have mastered Low Impact Step, try Low Max next, which builds upon this workout. YOu will see some familiar moves and blasts, but prepare for new footwork and a challenge!

I could not tell from your post if you wanted to place more emphasis on shaping up your upper or lower body, but Low Max will definitely shape the lower body. For upper body, I enjoy muscle endurance and cross train express upper body split.

Thanks for the response. I will give Low Max a try.
As far as upper vs lower, my lower is pretty good-upper needs more toning. Is ME high rep/lower weights? If not, are any of Cathe's?
