New Years Challenge Check-in Jan1-8

Hi Girls,
How was your new years? Mine was o.k. I worked.I didn't get off of work until 11:30 and I had to be back for 6:30.I just went to my in-laws after work and rang in the new year.
I kept the name of the check in the same b/c I am not smart enough to come up with a new one yet, and I didn't want you gals to look for our orignal name and then it would look like everyone bailed.So,I am sure someone can come up with something.
I didn't workout yesterday.I took the day off.I was going on little sleep and of course my social butterfly DH wanted to go to a house party last night.I sucked it up and went.I didn't plan on drinking but the atmosphere was good so I started inx( After shooter #4 I was well on my way:) That one will be the last party for a while.We don't normally party this much but DH lives in the same town that he grew up in so he knows everyone and he gets invited to everything.It was fun.
Is anyone doing the Jan rotation? I am going to look at it again.I really haven't decided what my goals for the new year is going to be.I would like to get more definition in my upper body.
I was talking to my friend the other day.I am standing for her wedding in Aug.She told me that the bridesmaids dresses are a small make and that her SIL took a 12.I was thinking oh nooooooo.If I have to go up there and fit into a 12, I am going to die.Even though it is not my true size.Anyway,I went up and the 12 fell to the floor.I've never taken a 12 in my life.She measured me and all that jazz and said I will take a 4-6.That was better news.Her SIL isn't that big(or the last time I saw her) but she as put weight on and I was thinking she was still smaller.It would be nice to fit into the 4 before Aug.
Anyway, I should go workout.I am feeling a little hungover but nothing tramatic.I am hoping to do a long cardio and maybe PUB.

Hi Lori, it sounds like you had a nice New Years. My dh and I went to our friends home with our children. Their were other couples and their kids. We ate dinner, played outside with the kids, and then played a game called Compatibility.

Maybe we could name the challenge, Spring Challenge or Summer Challenge, or 3 month challenge, something like that.

Well how did everybody do with their goals for this challenge? I weigh 10 lbs. less. I am happy about that!

By March I want to lose 15 lbs. and have a very consistent exercise routine.

Consistency is going to be nice again.Christmas throws everything off but yet I am sad its comming to an end.
I did well with the last challenge.I lost 5-6 lbs and I am hoping to keep it off.In the next couple of monthes I would like to lose 5 more.I always seem to gain back what I lose chrsitmas time but I had 5 lbs gone the first week of Dec so I don't think its the same thing this time.
Todays eating hasn't been the best.The morning after a party is never good.I did workout though :) I did a 60 min run and PUB...jus like I planned,which is weird.Then I took a bath and a 30 min nap.I was thinking about working out again later if I have the energy and DH is gone to hockey....we will see,

Hi ladies!

Well, I'm back in my own environment! Like you, Lori, I am sad that the holidays are coming to an end. I love my family and love spending time with them. But I am very eager to get back to routine, particularly my own foods and things. I know I have probably gained over the holidays, but I don't think that much.

Any of you who tried Core, tell me what you think, as I am thinking of switching to it for our:

Slimmer summer challenge?
sexy shorts challenge?
swimsuit challenge?


Just a few ideas!

FFD-I like all of those names.You guys pick one.
Has anyone thought about doing the Look Great in 8 program? Or as anyone done it? I just browsed through it on the rotations site and it sounds good.I need to print it off and read it good.I am really thinking about giving it a whirl. We will see.If I don't do this, I am going to do the Jan rotation.

Good Morning Gals,
I am ready to start fresh today.I always like cleaning up things on Monday.I am going to get back to eating sensible and I am going to leave the choclates alone! Can you imagine that?
I got a burst of energy last night,just when I thought I was going to get to bed early.I cleaned everything out from in under the tree and I printed off the Look Great in 8 program.Cleaning in under the tree wasn't to bad b/c she didn't have quite as many toys to go in the playroom BUT she had to many lipglosses and body wash sets.Still haven't decided when to take the tree down.It seems so early but the real tree is falling down as we speak, needles everywhere.
I weighed today and I am back down to 125 lbs.After Sat drinking I went up the scale to 126 lbs.I am also not sure what workout I will be doing today.I still need to read the program I printed off but its Loooooooooonnnnnnggggggg and I am not that bored yet today.I know I won't be doing UB...ouch! I am aching from PUB yesterday.
Last year, I can remember not knowing why I lost weight christmas time.I thought it was b/c I was eating more.I can then remember picking up food to eat on the way home from work (11 at night) and thinking I was going to keep the weight off.By Feb I was back to 130 and didn't know how I got there.I now know that I can not do these kinds of things.Its o.k every once in a while but I lost weight b/c I ate less not more so I have to keep it at that.Lesson learned........takes me a while:)
Anyway,if I don't do look great in 8,todays workout will be S,J&P.I would like to follow a rotation for a change.

Hi Laides.....I am not any more or less than I was when we started. It is good and bad. I hope after our next 3 months to be 10-16 lbs. less. My goal is 16, but I will be happy with 10.

FFD- On the last thread, I wrote some stuff for you about Core.

I am going to start the Aug. 2004 Rotation. It is aimed at losing body fat, and slimming the legs. This will be good until Hardcore comes.

I started counting my Points yesterday. I am ready, more ready than before!!!!!!!!!

Its posted on the Rotations site.Someone wanted info on it, so someone else posted the link.
I am still going to read it over but I have decided to do the January rotation for now.
So that means I did S,J&P today and I am hoping to fit in a run tonight.Shouldn't be a problem b/c I don't have to work in the morning.

I just finished a 45 min run.Thats 2 workouts today.The first was S,J&P so I wouldn't consider that to be high-intensity. We were invited out for dinner and what a spread.Holy Cow.By the time I tasted everything that was there, my plate was full.Then there were 3 desserts.So I had to exercise for piece of mind.

Hi ladies,

Think I will try Core and see how it goes. Am also going to try the january rotation, which will be my first rotation ever tried. I didn't have quite enough time for SJ&P this morning, so I did Step Blast instead and will probably have to take tomorrow off instead of Sunday because i'm at work so long. I guess I'm just trying to fit in the workouts for the week in no specific order. Will also brave the scales again on Wednesday (glad to see some of you are like me - avoidant - when it comes to this!).

I'm going to try to workout more in the morning (am very excited about my success this morning!), do more workouts per week, and pay attention to hunger/fullness cues, drink more water...what are your goals?

What about 'summer fitness challenge'?
 
FFD, I love the name Summer Fitness Challenge. That sounds great.

My goals are to lose 15 additional pounds by March 1.
To exercise at least 4 times per week.
To run in 2 5ks this Spring.
Drink more water.
Follow points on WW.

Thats one of my goals....get to bed earlier!I don't have a whole lot of goals.I didn't want to make up stuff that I had no intentions of following.I would like to lose 5 lbs,then see what my physique:) (didn't really know I had one of those!)but I guess everyone does:) I am going to paying more attention to my abs and UB though.I have also been using the same poundage for a while and I am going to try and up that a bit.
I am going to do Powerstrike today.That one always leaves my arms fried and they are still not over PUB from Sunday.I think I am going to enjoy this rotation b/c its a blend of different workouts.They are not very time consuming as well (not for me anyway)They are all under 90 min.I am trying to add running in in the evening.Which I did last night.
I am also going to check out a couple of marathons this year.Just half marathons.If my knees can handle it.
I started taking down decorations today:-( I will finish it up tonight.My SIL also goes home with her two little ones so it will be lonely for a while.

WooHOO!! I worked out again this morning!!! I am so proud of myself! Unlike yesterday, today it was a struggle to get out of bed. I did Legs and Glutes for the first time - what a workout!!!!
 
Good Morning ladies......I did L&G's yesterday, and 20 mins. on the treadmill. Today will be Imax 1. I stayed in my Points range, so everything went well. Take Care!!!!!!!

Just finished Powerstrike.I forgot how good that workout is.My arms and legs felt it.I also did 15 min of ab hits.
FFD-I can't beleive how many new workouts you are trying! You better try them all before the new workouts come out.

Hi, all, I hope you don't mind me posting here, too. I've been off track for the last couple of weeks, but I'm back on the bandwagon now. I'd like to start checking in to keep me honest!

My goal is to lost ten pounds by the end of February/middle of March. I joined a weigh in at work, which I also hope will make me accountable.

I'm doing a 3 week legs and glutes rotation. I started it 3 weeks before Christmas and it was good, but I didn't do every single workout. This time around I'm going to do them all, even if it takes more than 3 weeks.

Yesterday was HSTA. Today is kickboxking. Depending what time I get home I'll either do KP & C or CTX Kickbox. I'm an evening exerciser, so if I get stuck late at work I may not have time for all for KPC. I'll let you know tonight or tomorrow which one I did. Thanks for the motiviation!

Lori, I know! I've been trying them like crazy! I now have almost all the Cathe's as well as Hardcore. And you know, I am loving exercise! She is just so cute and fun and natural! And with so many videos, you can't get bored!

Ok ladies, I am officially starting the "summer fitness challenge" thread/. Goodbye New year's challenge!!!
