I do a Body Sculpting class i do with added weights on TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS... 35 minutes of sqats, lunges.. 20 minutes upper body and the rest abs. (i hope i dont have to give this class up to make improvements in my workout plans)
So i have from Friday to Monday to add more workouts.

Could someone please advise me on how to up my benefits?
Is my walking enough so i dont need to worry about cardio tapes?

My Thoughts:
Is a circuit training on the weekend the smart move? (is circuit training both cardio and weights?)
Should i go with just a PS legs and abs workout so i can really do some really challenging work for the backside while i am on my own?
I dont care much for step..but might like kicking instead.

I have watched all of Cathe's clips but am still not sure what is the smart pick for my needs. (Cathe's website is the best i have found..nice job... )

Thank you ...
PS. I can not get the Cathe cam going... is that my computer's fault or is it not running at the moment?

Thank you for any help!!

During your walks do you go aerobic? In other words are you breaking a sweat and breathing deeply for at least 20 minutes?

Also, what exactly are your goals? Are you just looking to tone up or do you want to increase your endurance?

my walks are aerobic...i use arms and walk fast enough to sweat and breath noticibly ...(usually) .. i may going to start adding weights to my waist for walking also... i read that if you walk 4 miles an hour with 10% of your body weight added it will be like running 5.5 miles an hour ..
my first goal is toning up... but i love being able to see improvement as much as i love feeling it.
thanks.

I was wondering what sort of weights/barbell etc that you have access to at home. Do you own a step? Do you like floor aerobics?

Thanks for the add'l info,

Stacy

HI!! Welcome!! I'm just going to give you my opinion on a tape that I think you need to try. Circut Max!! It has a little of everything. Kickbox, floor aerobics, and a little step. Not a lot though. Yes circut training is cardio and weights. During the weight segment, you constantly work your lower body while doing upper body movements. I mentioned that because of your comment on the Tush. If you had said you liked step I would've suggested BodyMax (my all time favorite), but that is an all step routine. So I think you'd like CircutMax more. Cardio Kicks is also good, but no weight training. Anyway those are my suggestions!! Good Luck! and Welcome again!!

i am looking to buy a barbell..... i do not know what the smartest choice is so i have put out the question on this forum.
I have dumbells up to 12 at home....but a barbell will be next and soon!

Actually, I find Circuit Max to be more aerobic than weight focused. I think the circuit tape in the Xpress series is a little more weight focused, but of course that tape only focuses on one body part.

Since you're more interested in toning up, I'm incline to say that MIS or Body Max are better choices. MIS is all strength and Body Max has some aerobic in the middle.
