I went from the Firm to Cathe. The Firm Vols 1-3 were the most effective for me. I found Cathe's workouts to be a quantum leap because she doesn't do everything in one workout. So you'll be doing each individual exercise for a longer time.
You can get The Step from Spri products (
www.spriproducts.com) or if you are near a Wal-Mart they now carry the Step. It is made by the Step Company. Cheaper at Wal-Mart because you don't have to pay for shipping!
I got my step second-hand for 5 dollars right near my house. Someone was advertising it on Craig's list (
www.craigslist.com) and someone at Videofitness saw the ad and wrote a post, I read it, and voila, got a perfectly new step for five dolla.
I really appreciate how the Firm workouts got me in shape to do Cathe. I know what you mean about the GoodTimes politics. It made me dislike the Firm even though the workouts are still good (My Vols 1,2, and 3 did not change! LOL) The most important thing I noticed was that with the Firm I was working out 3 days a week. With Cathe I started to work out 5 days a week. The Firm gave me a little of everything. Cathe gives me a lot of everything, and believe it or not, more variety.
