Cathe -

I am new to discovering your workouts! So far...so good! One week ago I went to Scheels All Sports and bought "the step." For the last week I have worked out to the Basic Step DVD that came with the step. After mastering that workout I wanted to advance to something different so I can alternate workouts. Unfortunately, I feel like the Cardio & Weights video and Fit TV workouts are too difficult for me yet. They are hard physically (because believe it or not im pretty out of shape which is why I am doing this!!!) but also the steps are too hard for me to follow yet. So basically, my question is...if I was to order DVDs, which ones are more for a beginner so I can work my way up? thanks!

I agree that Low Impact Step is an excellent starter workout. Cardio & Weights is really a ton of fun. My sister had difficulty with the steps initially, too, so she took off all the risers and just used the platform and 5 lb. weights throughout until one day everything just clicked. Embrace the challenge and hang on. Cathe takes us all for one heckuva ride, and we love her for it!!!

Just wanted to chime in with another recommendation. Cathe didn't include it in the beginner rotation, but High Step Circuit is a great workout! It is very doable and lots of fun. It does use the high step, but you could sub with the Fanny Lifter (if you've ever done the Firm workouts), or use your step and turn it vertically.
