NEW TO CATHE & STARTING STS ON 8-10-09

Anyone else out there just starting???. I really want to do this however, I am notorious for starting workout & diet programs and never completing them. I feel horrible that I have been this way in the past. I pray this time I stick with it and get up in the morning and do my exercises/ I am always excited about things in the beginning but slowly fall off the wagon after a little while. I am not a morning person and realize if I continue to keep doing what I've been doing, I will keep getting what I've been getting. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I really want this! You guys, I need you in this journey, any advice / motivation that may have helped u? :eek:
 
Welcome! I wish I could start with you, but I don't have it yet! Hoping to get it for my birthday in October, so I wouldn't start until the first week of November, so I'd have time to do my 1 Rep Max tests. Believe me, if you keep up posting here, we will all keep you motivated and on track! This is a highly supportive group!

Just start and if you feel yourself slacking, post your concerns! We'll all pitch in to help!

Well I am not ready to do STS again but do have a suggestion for you:

Check out the "Check-ins & Challenges" forum. There are many posts on a daily basis - typically for groups of people doing the same type of program, same age, same . . . They are quite friendly and it is a great way to stay "accountable" for getting your workouts done.

"Visit" over there and see if you can find one that might work for you.
 
I'm doing sts as well, But I'm doing meso 2, when ever you start you workout you will see, you don't have time for boredom, Cathe will keep you challenged and exited that non of the dvd's repeat. And you are going to feel so accomplish, and happy..
Something that I find really helpful is the workout manager you get to check your progress and is very exiting..

Hey hey! I as well do not have the STS, funds a little short, but did get the STS Cardio. But my ONE, extrememly important, piece of advice (which is A MAKE OR BRAKE me factor)....IS....

SLEEP!!!:eek:

I know that if I do NOT get my appropriate amount of sleep, at LEAST 7 hours, I have less energy and feel I give up more or say "I'll do it tomorrow". So, SLEEP MY DEAR...SLEEP! hehe:p:D
 
I don't have STS, but I will offer this advice. IF hyou are not a morning person you don't have to workout in the morning. Find a time that works for you and makes you happy. If it's not the morning then there is nothing wrong w/ an afternoon or evening workout! The important thing is that you do it! Don't get me wrong I am not a morning person, but if I can get my workout done, I feel way better about the rest of the day. I also know that if I just can't inthe am then I will do it later.
