Greetings all from 'Jolly Ol' England'! I'm new to Cathe's workouts, and boy am I loving them!
A little background: BC (before child - he's 8 now!) I was a personal trainer and aerobics instructor (mostly step and cardio kickboxing) for 6 years in the mid-90s. After the birth of my son I went through a period of not exercising because of PPD, then not exercising because of moving to another country (US to UK!) I joined a gym again, but wasn't really into it, so quit. Finally last year I pulled out my old (original!) Tae Bo videos and started doing Tae Bo again. I got into some of the new Tae Bo workouts (Bootcamp) and enjoyed them, but after a bit they started to get kind of repetitious and not as motivating for me. I didn't know if I wanted to go back to step because of teaching it so much (total burnout, plus injuries), but I watched the video clips of Cathe's workouts and was intrigued. I also wanted a really good weight workout. I took the plunge and ordered Low Max and Muscle Max. Oh My Gosh! I love them! I've only had them for a week, have mostly done Low Max, plus the ab section from MM, but I'm hooked!!! So much so that I ordered Low Impact Step and Imax3 this evening.
Thank You Cathe & team for putting out the kind of workouts that one can get in the best healthclubs! I feel like I'm in a 'real' class, even though I'm looking out my living room window at the daffodils and tulips. I have lost several inches and nearly 10 pounds since last June doing Tae Bo - I'm hoping Cathe can get me back to the weight/shape I had when I was a Personal Trainer and Instructor! Only 13 more pounds and a few inches, plus some muscle building to go! I'm 37, and believe that the best is yet to come for me.
What else about me? As I said before, I'm 37, married for nearly 13 years, mother to an 8 year old boy and an 11 year old Basset Hound. We have been living in the UK (Surrey) for the past 3 1/2 years, but are now hoping to move back to the US by the end of 2006. I love to travel, cook, read, scrapbook, workout and shop!
Looking forward to more great workouts, and meeting you all.
Cheers!
Stephanie
