Hello Everyone,

My name is Jocelyn and I'm from Chicago. I just joined the forum, and I'm new to Cathe. I've been watching Cathe on FIT TV for quite sometime, but I finally purchased the COREMAX DVD and The Beg/Int Step DVD.

I have 40 lbs. to loose (YIKES!!!) to I'll be looking to all of you for some good advise.

I look forward to talking with all of you soon!!!

Shelley, Lori, and Kassia,

Thank you for such a warm welcome.

I have tried to get my eating under control, and I can honestly say I have pretty clean diet. I don't eat cookies, cakes, etc.(ok..maybe during the holidays..LOL), but I don't buy that kind of stuff so I don't sit around the house and eat it all up!! I've reduced the amount of beef I eat, and I eat alot of veggies(well..the only three I like..lol) and fruit. I also have incorporated fish into my diet.

What are your favorite dvds?

It is hard to pick which ones are my favorite.I still enjoy Power Hour and anything circuit related.I would probably be better at naming which ones I don't do that often and thats only b/c I like others better. If I were you I would get one full body workout, one cardio and one circuit, just to start you off. That way you can find out what you enjoy.
Lori:)

Welcome Jocelyn. You should have fun here and there is plenty of knowledge and encouragement to be found. IMO you made a great choice to w/o with Cathe.

Lori & Shelley,

NO FAIR!!!:) I know what you mean though. It's hard to pick favorites. Even though I don't own alot of Cathe's videos YET, I have been working out with her through FIT TV. I think I'm going to invest in the gym series first. I'm just getting back into step, and I do have a gym membership, so I can do different cardio at the gym.

I like to do my weight lifting a home, so that I can struggle and sweat in peace!!:7

UPS just got here, and I got my HIGH STEP and a couple more of Cathe's DVDs. YEAH!!!!

i guess that would be the ones i own LOL. i actually love them all but have to limit myself to what i NEED for my routines as what i can do on my own(mostly weights on my own). but i would say the IMAXES are my favorites(i have interval max and imax2,also i would throw low-max in there) b/c of the intensity and work my legs get but i love rhythmic step b/c it keeps me on my toes. i love all weight workouts by cathe. i will not get another weight workout(other then the firm but that is different)but cathe. i also enjoy all types of yoga videos to complement my cathe training.

Hi Jocelyn!
Welcome to the forums! You can get all sorts of great information here...there are so many educated and friendly people here. It's tough to pick a favorite. I hope you like the GymStyle Series. I have really enjoyed it. I really like MuscleMax as well. It works all the muscles in one workout. Or you can split up upper and lower body. Cathe also has some great workouts that combine weights and cardio. Some of these use the high step (great purchase :)! Have fun with it!). The IMAX workouts are probably my favorite for cardio. They are pretty intense and I struggled with them at first. But I stuck with them and it was pretty motivating as my fitness level improved :). I look forward to "seeing" you! Good luck!
Cath :)
