New to Cathe and Starting STS on Monday 10 August 2009

Anyone else out there just starting???. I really want to do this however, I am notorious for starting workout & diet programs and never completing them. I feel horrible that I have been this way in the past. I pray this time I stick with it and get up in the morning and do my exercises/ I am always excited about things in the beginning but slowly fall off the wagon after a little while. I am not a morning person and realize if I continue to keep doing what I've been doing, I will keep getting what I've been getting. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I really want this! You guys, I need you in this journey, any advice / motivation that may have helped u? I really need the motivation!

my motivation is getting fit so my everyday life is easier, then I get in a frame of mind that I will give up other things to reach this goal.


my other motivation is that I want to get into my prepregnacy clothes so i wont have to dish out cash for new stuff that fits my chunky butt;)
 
You know, I am generally a morning person too, but lately haven't been able to get going in the a.m. SOOOO, I have been working out (2nd go around with STS) at 7/7:30 p.m. and it actually isn't too bad. I just know I will work out every day to get the results. The other motivation is that I have seen super results with this program. I have never gotten the definition that STS has given me. People comment on my arms and abs--that is extra motivation.

Also the people on these forums are a great support so when you need support get on the forums. There are always others who on in the same place.

To add on to what Pinkquinn said, I look at my exercise and nutrition habits as a matter of self preservation.

I need strong muscles, a healthy skeletal structure, and a conditioned heart. I have no problem with aging, but I do not want to end up a mess. I often say I want to be that kick-ass 75 year old grandma in yoga class, long gray hair in a braid, gracefully flowing from one pose to the next, living every minute to the best of my ability.
 
Tdiane, I just wanted to invite you to come check in with a few of us who just started STS this week. We have a check-in thread called New STS'ers on the check-ins and challenges board. We can help keep each other accountable there and talk about the workouts.

me too !!!!!!!!!! im starting STS Monday as well !!!! i got them last night and stayed up till midnight watching Monday's first workout !! Im ready !!
 
I am going to start this weekend as well. This is my second go around though. I got some great definition - but need to clean up my diet more this go around to drop the lbs that I need too.

I'll tell ya- this difference with this program is that every workout is different - you are not doing the same workout over and over and over. That is what gets me to drop out of exercise programs faster than anything. It was amazing how fast the first 3 months even went.

I'll have to get in the check in with you all too! :)

I am not a morning person either, so I alternate my days. STS in the am On MWF and cardio in the pm on TH and am on Sat. Post to the forum daily to keep you accountable the get support and once you see the changes in your body, that will keep you moving forward. Stay focus and do your best.
