New Step Moves

Hi,
I would like to request new moves. There have been a lot of tripples around the board in a lot of the workouts and it's not that I don't like them it's just that they're kind of in everything now. Too much of a good thing and they lose their novelty.
SJP had some fun step moves. It'll be fun to learn new ones and it would be a creative outlet for Cathe to come up with them. After awhile...ricochets,jack heel over the step jack, ponies, lunges to the side and back, swimming and mambo cha chas get kind of old. I hope this doesn't come off as a bad thing. Just constructive input. I realise a lot of people like them but don't you think you'll like new stuff that she can come up with since we obviously like everything she does anyway? Wouldn't it be nice? Wouldn't it be cool?

I think it would be cool! I'm not a big fan of the mambo cha-cha...although Cathe has come up with a couple of mambo cha-cha variations that have kept the move fresh.

One of the things I like about Cathe's step workouts is all the unique choreography and inventive moves. But some traditional moves that I have missed from her workouts are A-steps, T-steps, V-steps, turn-steps, U-steps. I am relatively new to Cathe, but have done Cardio & Weights, Rhythmic Step, Step Blast, and a little of the Step, Jump, and Pump....and while there was one little T-step & a U-step in Rhythmic Step, and a V-step in Step Blast, I think Cathe could really jazz up all these steps and incorporate them even more into her routines. I especially like the A-step...it's just a nice little variation from the over-the-top move.

Oh, wow. I have to respectfully disagree that it would be nice to see more of the A-step, T-step, U-step moves again! (Go back and get Cathe's pre-Rhythmic step videos and you'll get your fill!)

Personally, I'd like to see brand new moves, put together in brand new ways. It will have to be on the dancier side, because there is only so much athletic step you can come up with, IMO. I hope Cathe will come up with some dancier, new stuff, and put it together in ways that challenge her as an instructor and creator of step workouts. If it is a mental challenge for her, it is sure to challenge us! There are new ways to do old things that make them seem new--Kristen Kagen and Seasun Zeiger have both done it, and I hope that Cathe will, too.

Hi, I don't have any workouts by those two instructors.
Could you recomend one or two from Kristen or Seasun that are challenging as Cathe's are?

RE: Bubachick!!

Hi,

I have never done Kristen Kagen, but I have both of Seasun's dvd's. Seasun adds a lot of hops, leaps and jumps to make her workouts intense enough IMO. I always feel that I have gotten a tough workout when I am finished. If you like intensity and complex choreography than I would highly recommend Seasun's workouts.

Aila:)

I was thinking the same thing. I recently have included Christi Taylor videos in my workouts and she has really challenging moves. The first time doing it can be kind of discouraging but I found that watching and practising before using the video as a workout has helped and it is really a lot of fun. It keeps me from getting bored. But Christi is very dancey. I would like to try Seasun, but I was hesitant to purchase her videos because I didn't know how her workouts would compare to cathe's in intensity.
