I have recently discovered your progams, Cathe, and am completely hooked.
I only have Low Max and Basic Step right now, but have been doing them for about a month on my cardio days. I'd like to buy a couple of weight training DVDs to replace my current routine. I need to mix things up a bit, and am currently split training, but would like to try a couple full body training DVDs 2-3 times a week. Suggestions for starters?
Also, I'd like to know how exactly to calculate how many calories I should be eating. When I am doing Low Max, I am burning about 800 calories (per my HRM). This is burning about 400 calories (averaging about 1200 extra calories a week) more than my previous cardio workouts, however, I have only lost about 2 pounds in the last month I've been doing it--which is about 4 pounds less than I usually lose per month. Am I not eating enough? I hear so much buzz about eating back your exercise calories. What does this mean, and how should one go about doing it? It seems counter-productive, but I don't want to send my metabolism into starvation mode either. HELP!
Thanks so much for putting out such a great program. I look forward to exercising every day!
