Debbie, Thank you so much. I hate that I can't get into VF, it totally sucks! I called the Firm and I ended up getting free shipping! They said they are in stock and I should receive within a week. I'm so excited!!!! Do you know if Cathe is in the works with any new tapes? Thanks!

Yes Sue!!

I am pretty sure that Cathe is working on bringing out some new tapes soon. I'm not sure what kind or when, but it sounded like they are working on it now. I'll be in line to order. Isn't she the best? Have fun with your new Firm tapes. Let me know what you think of them. I have to slow down a bit on ordering. I went nuts after the first of the year and have bought around 30 videos. Would you say--I'M HOOKED!!! I need to give the ole charge a rest! Why can't you get into VF? Are you blocked at work? Bummer! Well, Sue have a great day!

Work...

Debbie, yes, my only on-line source is through work and I'm blocked. What really sucks too is that we're closing at the end of April, so I don't have much work to do, but can't get in there! Oh well, with some of my severance money I hope to buy a home computer, so then I'll be happy again. Although, surfing at home will take up some of my exercise time. Oh what to do!!! Thanks again. Sue

I know the feeling!

I also find that by the time I read all the latest posts from everyone on Cathe and on the VF site, I could have had my W/O for the day!! I guess it is just as important to me to keep up with all my fitness buddies, plus it keeps me inspired. Hope you are able to get your computer right away. It is great to have one at home. Good Luck with the transition, Sue!!

These new Firm videos seem to just be compilations of the same routines over and over and over again. I wish the Firm would film something new instead of reworking these compilations. I decided to pass on this set. I did, however, just purchase "Cardio Burn" with Tamela Hastie as the instructor. It's really good and I'm glad that I bought it. It's the Full Feature of the parts that the Firm keeps mixing over and over again.

Is there actually any "new" Firm videos

or are all the "new" ones we are hearing about just old compilations? If so, I think that is kind of a cop out. When they say new, it should be new. Just my opinion.

To Kim

Kim, presently the Firm just keeps mixing film footage in different ways. I agree that something new should be new. I did break down against my better judgement and purchase the "Boot Camp" and "Super Step" set. They are just compilations of past videos that date back as far as 1995.

I am just so starved for a new, fresh workout video. And I am really getting sick of compilations --- although I am a Firm lover, I think they need to get their act together and give us something new!

Hopefully, Cathe will film something new and exciting late this year

Just wondering

Hi everyone,
I'm pretty new to this website and to video exercising. I love Cathe's tapes because they give me the intensity that I used to get in classes at my old gym (2000 miles away from me now.) The gyms where I live now don't have good a.m. classes which is when I have to workout. Are the Firm tapes challenging enough? I like really intense workouts (lots of cardio) and I don't mind complex choreography. I don't like Hi/lo because I always have shin splints and ankle problems. Any suggestions? I've never tried The Firm videos. Thanks

Emily

To Emily

I find the Firm videos to be quite challenging. Some more than other, of course. Some are as difficult as Cathe's workouts, others are not. Some of their cardio is pretty tame. Among the more challenging cardio videos from the Firm are "Core Cardio 1" and "Cardio Burn" -- however, these contain quite a bit of hi/lo/plyo moves.

The Firm is different from Cathe's workouts in that they tend to incorporate/switch from cardio to weight training.

I use both Cathe and the Firm regularly with great results. I think they compliment one another and love both videos more than any others I have ever tried.

Thanks Amy

I think I might have to try some of their videos. I love Cathe's videos, but I don't want to get too tired of them. Also, my French teacher in high school was Mrs. Stepp and she had a daughter Amy. That's not you, is it? Anyway, thanks for the input.

Hi again, Emily -- I am not your French teacher's daughter, although foreign languages was my undergraduate major I live in TN and my parents died a a long time ago and I graduated from H.S. in 1972 (oops, telling my age, aren't I?)

I think you'll find that a combination of Cathe and the Firm is one of the best workouts available either in a gym or at home -- I can't say enough good things about either Cathe or the Firm -- just remember that they are quite different in format -- perhaps that's why a combination is so effective and I never get bored with my workouts.
