New fashion trend that I hate

hmm.. this should have been a poll, pretty opposite views on this.

I'm one of the love capris .

The one style I love is the tiered skirts so cute (on young girls of course).

Who thought of THAT
>one? Bleah!

I agree! Yuk!

I think it was invented either by someone who goes wading for clams, or someone who wants people to always buy more and different things because they will go out of style very quickly, IMO.

I like capri pants (but not the "tight to the lower leg"kind). We used to call them "pedal pushers" when I was a kid!

>I don't get it either! And capris are cute on other women
>but because I have really small ankles, they seem to make me
>look freakish.

See... to me, capris look the cutest on women with tiny, delicate ankles! Wear a very tasteful, small anklet, get a pair of strappy sandals with a wedge heel and wear some capris. I bet you would look great! :D

I wear capri pants all the time in the summer. I get toasted in jeans, and shorts nowadays show too much. But I also don't like that cuffed look. They make a short person (like me) look even shorter.

I don't like the cuffed look either. But I LOVE capris! They are so great in the summer when it's too hot for jeans, but I hate wearing shorts because my legs aren't that great.

I have a friend that can pull all these fashion looks off and she looks great. The cuffed pants, capris with the boots, etc. She's probably about 5ft or just a tad taller and thin. She always looks so nice. She does wear 2 1/2 in heel or higher at all times.

I've seen the teeny boppers wearing them with flip flops and I like that look too. It's not for me, however.

When that look first came out, I felt the same way(I also felt that way about capris)! I thought that it was so stupid looking and a style that would be short lived.

THEN, months down the line I tried them on for some reason and they looked good on me. I was very surprised.

They look best on me with at least a 2 1/2 inch heel. The same goes for capris with a flared leg.

I keep trying these on with no luck. I *want* to get a pair, cause I can't wear shorts on the job, like I did at my last place, and these would be perfect for the summer weather and the office. But I'm 5'5" and big chested, and no matter what style I try on, I look short and stumpy and top heavy. x(

I like the cuffed capris and the longer pants but only if you have long slim legs. They don't work on women or girls with shorter and or heavier legs. I also like capris in general but only if they taper at the bottom. I don't like the capris that are baggy at the bottom.

Oh Nadine!

Flipper feet!!!! That made me laugh OUTLOUD!!I pictured you walking down the street with your capris and flippers! Ha!

Came back to say I like capris and I am 5'4". Hubby didn't like them at all the first year I wore them, but he must be used to them now because he never said anything this year! :7

RE: Oh Nadine!

I didn't like them at first either but I tried on a pair of maternity ones at Motherhood and I love them. I like capris too - I can't wear shorts to work but capris are casual dressy enough for my office. :)

RE: Oh Nadine!

My daughter is 7 years old and already 4'3". And she weighs barely 50 lbs. Finding full length pants is difficult - ALL her pants are capris:p

RE: Oh Nadine!

Oh my gosh Shelley! A few more inches and your daughter will be my height, LOL. I always wanted to be taller....

I love capris. It's really difficult to find pants that fit, being short but well-endowed in the behind. Large sized "junior" capris generally work though.

The fashion trend I cannot stand has to with the boys wearing their baseballs caps at an angle. I don't mind baseball caps, or wearing them backwards, but the sideways thing just looks so ridiculous. I fight the urge to straighten them...

BTW, the picture of your cat cracks me up everytime I see it!! We *have* to get another kitty soon.
