New EAS Myoplex Lite Bars:))))

LuvCardio

Cathlete
Good evening all!!!! Wanted to share the good news of some new EAS Protein bars!

Have ya' all seen or tasted the new Myoplex Lite bars??? They are simply amazing. They have one that is almost identical to the Luna Nuts Over Chocolate but even BETTER!!! It doesn't have that aftertaste and has more of a maple flavor. Plus I felt even more full after eating the Myoplex ones. I couldn't even finish the whole thing when I tried it yesterday. There's also an oatmeal raisin flavor that I haven't tried yet. I'll let ya' know once I do waht I think because I purchased a box tonight.

They have approx. 15 grams protein, 14 carbs, 4 grams fat and only 180 calories:)

I picked up 2 boxes tonight at GNC. They were on sale here in Colorado for only $14.

They are easy to miss because the box looks just like the old ones (which I thought were nasty).

Ask the attendant at the store or order them online at EAS! They are wonderful! Yummy!

Thanks for the tip - I like the Myoplex powder, and I'm always searching for meal replacement bars for emergency rations.

Just Do It! :)

I tried a Myoplex bar and couldnt finish it.I think it said "Low Carb" on it. Is that the same one.??

My new favorite is Zone bars in choc peanut butter. Pretty much the same protein , carbs, and calories as the one you mentioned. It is so good, I feel like Im eating a candy bar.

What color wrapper is the one youre referring to?

I also posted a site asking for taste test opinions on protein powders. I just cant find one that is edible.

GN,
I have also had the bar you are refeering to and use to literally GAG them down every time I ate them:(

Good news!! This one is different. It is called Myoplex Lite and is in a white wrapper. The flavor is called "Peanut Caramel Crisp Nutribion Bar w/chocolate coating). However, the choc coating is only on the bottom. It is just like the Luna Nuts Over Chocolate but better:)

It also has a round red circle that says "New Crunchy Flavor". It is not a long skinny bar, it is more of a short fat bar. It is shaped more like the Luna bars. Maybe if you go into a vitamin/nutrition store they will know. I went to GNC and asked them if they had any of the NEW EAS Myoplex bars and they knew exactly what i was talking about. The barcode on the back of the packaging for the single bar is: 9108300340. Maybe that will help if you call the EAS 1-800 #. Be careful though because they have a bunch of Myoplex Lite bars and some of them are terrible. These are the new ones:)

I think they are BRAND NEW. I just tried to find it on the EAS site and couldn't! Good LUck!!!!!!!!

Not to be negative, but the website I looked at indicated that, although the bar is low in fat, the fat in the bar is mostly saturated. I noticed this with a lot of the Luna bars also. I'm not that knowledgable in this area, but isn't saturated fat supposed to be bad for you? I've been buying the toasted nuts and cranberries Luna bars lately because they have no saturated fat, and, like other Luna bars, also have no high fructose corn syrup.

I love the idea of, and the taste of, most of the nutrition bars, but it's not easy to make something that sits on a shelf in a store for months at a time that doesn't have some questionable ingredients, no? Am I looking at the same Myoplex bars?

Pammer,

Thanx ,im checking out those bars today. Also, try the Zone bars. The choc/peanut butter one is awesome. Like chocolate covered crisp bar. 7fat,20 carb, 16protein, and 200 calories.

Nancy- yes I think you are right in that the fat is mostly saturated. I noticed that lastnight. I think it has like 4 grams total and something like 3.5 or 3 is saturated? Don't know? I have been mainly using them for my afternoon mean (before dinner) around 3:00. I don't know what it is but around the 3:00 hour.... I get these TERRIBLE chocolate cravings!!! I work in an office where there is chocolate over the place, candy, cupcakes. So.... I figure these bars satisfy that craving 100% and are soooooooo much better than a candy bar? Right? I sure hope so! I guess they probably wouldn't be that good to eat as a standing meal replacement with the sugar? But they sure are yummy:) Thanks for the tip.... I barely noticed it in all my excitement:)

GN - Thanks for the tip. Where do you get the Zone bars? They sound good?

HI Pammer,

Look under Zoneperfect.com

I found mine at Rite Aid actually.

I think you will really like them . I am the pickiest eater and dont taste anything that shouldnt be in a "candy" bar.
