DVD #1, DVD #2 and DVD #3:
All of these DVDs have now finished being authored and reviewed by us and are now on their way to the replicator.

So what does this mean?

The replicator will receive DLT tapes from us on Monday. Glass Masters will be made from the DLT tapes and then stampers will be produced. The replicator will also send test samples of each DVD (called check disc) so that we can verify one last time that everything is okay and there is no difference between the Glass Master and our DLT tapes.. If….and we repeat “if”, there are no problems with the check disc... the DVDs will then move into production to be replicated. After replication the disc are screen printed and then packaged and sent to us.

How long will replication take?
This is probably the main question you want answered. Assuming there are no problems, the process “generally” takes 3 weeks, but production will depend on how busy the replicator is and if problems develop. If all goes well, we could be shipping presale DVDs around the middle of May. As soon as we know more we will post it on our website.

Yes, I am pumped! This means that I will get my DVD's before my summer vacation and I can take them along with me:)
 
SNM team and Cathe, thanks for a really perfect update. :) You've taught me a little more about this complex process (which sounds interesting but WOW, so tedious), I know right where you are in your timeline of tasks, and I have a rough idea of what release schedule you're hoping for BUT NOT PROMISING. Like I said, a perfect update. And the next time Cathe does an extended series, I'll remember this information and I'll have a much better understanding of why so much time literally has to elapse between filming and distribution of high-quality, multi-layered DVDs.

I think that getting these DVD's out by mid-to-late May after an early March shoot is pretty darned quick, all things considered. Great job, folks!

(P.S. I read back over this post to proofread, and I realize it sounds a little like a gushy paid endorsement of SNM Videos. ;-) It's not, of course -- but I'm not editing a word because I meant it all, sincerely. Just want my cohorts here at The Forums to know that! :))

I'm really looking forward to DVD#3, because I love and use Bootcamp so much! It'll be nice to be able to alternate the two.

I know it's been said a gazillion times, but we all REALLY appreciate how well-chaptered your DVD's are, SNM. The workouts are stellar to begin with, and I would buy them without the state-of-the-art chaptering, but the chaptering/premixes make an outstanding product that much better. Thanks and good luck with the rest of the process!:)

Ooh! I hope it comes out in May in time for my birthday! What a great gift that will be for myself. :)

I preordered DVD #3 at the very beginning beginning as it was advanced (love the advanced, I'm addicted) and I ordered the SH series on DVD as I wore out one of my videos. And so today, I couldn't stand it anymore, the not being able to play with the new exercise tubing, and thinking I can make this as hard as I want, so I broke and ordered #2 plus Cardio Hits on DVD. and It isn't the 30th yet..... lOL

And I so very much agree with Susan. The layering, chaptering and production is the best on the market. I dearly love being able to mix and match workouts. And of course I love Cathe....
