I just read about an interesting new Nautilus product called the Treadclimber. It combines treadmill walking, elliptical, and stair climbing into one motion. Has anyone tried it? Here is the website:
http://www.treadclimber.com

One thing I don't like about elipticals and stairmasters is the bottom of my feet get sore from continuous contact. I've been wanting something like it but where you could lift your feet up and this seems to be it. And it seems like the treads rotate down so have more "give" than a steep inclined treadmill to be easier on your joints. What do you all think?

i heard they are over 1200 dollars!!there are different models. i have not been on one, but fitness mag. review gave a thumbs up. i would refuse to lay out that much money with out trying one out!!

That machine looks amazing! However, it is expensive, but if you think it's something you would use... the go for it! Has so many options. Check to see if you can try it out first ( you may have to encure shipping) before a "final" decision is made.

That one caught my eye, too. Too bad there don't seem to be any places around to try it out.

If you are at all interested, I suggest you ask for the free video/DVD and information. Then you get put on their mailing list, and they will send you different offers every so often (like free shipping or $100 off). That's what I did when I got a Soloflex Rockit, and ended up paying $200 less than regular price.

If you watch the video clip on the website, it shows the pedals working independently moving up and down. On the TM you are walking steadily uphill without any rotation of your legs, making the climber more of an elliptical movement.
I was hoping the clubs would invest in it so I can try it out there. Also I suspect some cheaper knock-offs will become available.
