New Balance and Ryka Shoe help needed

The closest shoe store to me that carries some New Balance styles doesn't even know what a studio/aerobics shoe is.

So I am going to have to go to the next one, 70 miles away. The salesperson I spoke to says he has several New Balance and only a few sizes of Ryka's left right now. I want to know specific names and/or style numbers to look for.

I might have to go online, so specific numbers or model names will be very helpful in either event.

Thanks so much!
Sandra

Hi Sandra, I'm looking for a new pair of shoes also. Since everyone's feet has their own specific nuances and requirements, I'm finding it helpful to go to the specific manufacture's websites to research various models of each manufacturer's aerobic, studio and crosstraining shoe. Then I've been reading the reviews of the models on Zappos.com (this aspect of the search hasn't been too fruitful, but interestingly has steered me away from some models). I wish you luck in finding a pair that suits you. Deb

Hi,

There's alot of info on NB and Ryka (running & step) on this site. If you select "Search" from the top menu and type in NB New Balance Shoes OR Ryka Shoes you'll have many responses returned on types, fit, styles availability...etc --Good Luck on finding your perfect shoe(s).

Note: It seems many on this site favor the Ryka Enlight II's for step.

Happy searching :p

Try www.rykashop.com

They have an offer of free shipping and returns until 6/4. I got an email with a promo code, but it looks like if you just go to the website, the promo code is there.

ETA: Also try www.nbwebexpress.com for New Balance. They are also offering free shipping and returns but it ends today. They frequently have offers for free shipping, so it's good to check the site.

I love the Ryka Aerobics Instructor sneakers.

I wear them every time I work out!

I started with New Balance 608-x-trainers. But I have found that a running shoe works best for me. So I like the 717's. But I have also found 410's?, I think that is the number at TJMaxx. I have a long and narrow foot, think dancer's feet. And for some reason aerobic shoes just seem to "heavy" while I light running shoe works better. I don't kow if that helps or not.

I have been using New Balance 854's. They are pretty good....but I have worn them out. Today I ordered a pair of Ryka N-Gage Instructor's. I ordered from Ryka.com.....and I just wanted to let everyone know that they don't have free shipping like Rykashop.com. I had no idea there were two different web addresses. I didn't realize that until I saw this thread :( Anyway...my shipping ended up being $10.00.

Hey Annette! Waves!!!

I'm wearing the Ryka N-Gage Instructor (mid-length) now. I have achilles tendonitis and an ankle that is still a bit funky after a serious twist in the winter. These shoes feel AWESOME - better than anything I've tried to date. They give me the exact support I need.

I always buy Ryka's in a .5 size bigger than my regular shoe size, but I have to do that with all sneakers.

Frankly, if you can do it, you're better off buying a couple of pairs online and then sending back what you don't want. Both Shoes.com and Zappos.com have generous return policies.

Good luck!
Marie
