New AOS Kettlebell Way Brooklyn DVD

KBW vol 1 is a remake of Providence so yes, it's essentially the same the work out. I *THINK* the only difference in the work outs is that KBW vol 1 includes a tutorial on the exercises which Providence does not.

Yes, KBW volume 2 is one of the newest releases. I know the santa monica vid is new too. Not sure which came out first but KBW vol 2 was just released/shipped in the last week or so.

HTH

thank you so much for clarifying this!

Okay, so if I have Providence and Newport, is the Empire State necessary? or should I look into Santa Monica as the next step? (in a few months..no where near ready yet!)
IM, ES isn't really 'necessary' (but are ANY workouts really "necessary"? LOL!), but it's a good workout, and not something that you would probably have outgrown. (I personally have no interest in SM, as it seems to contain a lot of ''ropes gone wild' work, though you could skip the rope work, but to me, that wouldn't make it worth the purchase price.)

Hi Deanie -- Empire State is great, but Santa Monica is harder. If you can do Newport, than you can do either one of the two new ones; I think Newport is the hardest of the AOS ones.

If you want something really challenging, Keith Weber's Extreme Cardio workout is my other favorite (next to Newport):

It's really good! :D

Hi Kathryn,

Thanks for posting that video! It was interesting to see! You can see a definite improvement in her form in the new Empire State workout, and she also seems more confident leading her rounds in it.

A friend from here has been researching the manilla ropes, and she found a place that is about $70 for 30 feet, including sealed ends. That's a much better price than the $200+ that they want for ropes on the AOS website. I'm thinking about getting some since I figure that I can make 15 feet work in my workout area. (My DH might get the rope for me for Christmas. I was laughing about it since I thought it would be funny to tell people, when they asked what I got from him for Christmas, "Oh, Mike bought me 30 feet of rope." :p)

If you're interested in more info, let me know. :)

LOL! Oh, Booboo, you can blame me for sure! ;) It really is an awesome workout, though! It's one of the toughest I have!

Leanne, do you take your KB's to the beach!? :D

I previewed KBW Vol 2 last night and I'm excited to try it! Beth looks amazing! You can really see the changes in her body since Volume 1 was released. Her arms and abs look AWESOME!! And I agree that she's a good instructor. There's nothing wimpy about her at all!

No, I look like too much of a dork working out at home, and wouldn't want to punish anyone out in the open! ;)

I know, Michele, doesn't Beth look great? She looked wonderful in the first KB Way workout, but even better in this one!

Our nickname for Keith Weber is Mr. Sand Dude. Shelley (Allwildgirls) once said that he has the personality of a kettlebell himself, which is true, but it's still an awesome workout! :p

That sounds EXACTLY like something Shelley would say -- LMAO!!!

I'm sure you're not a dork, but I totally understand how you feel. I think I look like a doofus when I'm working out, especially when it entails choreography of any kind.

I hear you! :D

Hi Booboo -- Yep, I'm the one who's up in Carlsbad. :) And you're out near Mt. Helix, right? Did you ever take any classes with Lauren or at Iron Core?

Yep up here in la mesa. No, never took classes. Still haven't gotten around to doing research on the russian kb academy in clairemont mesa either. Sometime soon hopefully since I am done with my X-my shopping. Yes, thats right, I am done with my X-mas shopping so don't be hatin'. Woohoo, doorbell just rang & my AOS KBW 2 just arrived, quite excited to preview it. Just did providence this morning and it was quite humbling yet I did enjoy Anthony's style. While he is a little young he's not too bad on the eyes! Now if he had small squinty eyes ala Richard Gere then I would be a drooling idiot.

I must chime in here to agree with Leanne on Keith Weber's Extreme Cardio workout. It's AWESOME, KILLER, FABULOUS!!!! It's a must have for any KB'er who wants a real challenge! I've only done half the work out at one time and thought I'd die!...In a GOOD way ofcourse. ;)

Oh, Deanie and Booboo, you're in for a real treat with the Keith Weber workout!

Like Wendy said, it's a tough workout, but awesome! You can both thank (curse??) me when you're lying in a puddle of sweat after you do it the first time! ;)

Booboo, oh, I need to be hatin' on you since you're already done with your holiday shopping! Let me know if you check out the KB Academy in CM! It would be fun to meet and take a class there together! :)

OK so I am not so confused. Is the Brooklyn tape you guys are talking about the same as the Empire State Vol. 2 tape? I keep trying to figure it out from the website but still am not sure!!
