Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum although I've been lurking awhile. I live in London and it's only from seeing a few other UK users that I've decided to post. I'm also new to cathy's tapes and could do wtih some advice.

I'm 21 weeks pregnant, baby due in September.

I've never used Cathe tapes before and would like to buy a couple of tapes to get me into shape after the baby arrives. I've been using Firm tapes up until I got pregnant. Since I got pregnant, i'm afraid to say that I've done nothing apart from the odd aquanatal class at my gym.

Can any of you recommend TWO tapes/DVDS that I can get my American cousin to buy before she visits me here in June? I was pretty fit before I got pregnant and really want to get fit and toned up after the baby arrives.

Any advice much appreciated.

xx

Hi Molly!

I'm post-happy today, LOL! Anyway, I have a 4-month old son and I used Cathe's Intensity Series dvds while on maternity leave - my favorite workout from that series is Cardio + Weights. I've found that circuit workouts that combine cardio and weights have worked really well for me in terms of time constraints due to having two little ones and working full-time. One of my personal favorites is Circuit Max (same principle) and the Cross Train Express series is great too (shorter cardio followed by one body part strength training). I also really like Cardio Kicks - it's a fun, tough workout (it's 60 min. long).

Hope this helps!

Hi and welcome!

Congratulations on your pregnancy and welcome to the forum.

I am currently pregnant with baby number 2. After my son was born last January, I used the CTX series quite often to get back in shape. I think that series is great because it has short, but intense, cardio sections combined with one body part per day...AND of course, my favorite...Leaner Legs.

Once the baby arrived, my time became very limited and sometimes I would only have a half hour here or there to workout. CTX was perfect because I could do the cardio section...and then finish the weight section later when my son went to bed.

With that said, I also ADORE Cathe's Power Hour and used it on the weekends when I had more time to hit every muscle. It was great because I could start very light on the weights in the beginning and work my way up. In fact, I'm finding that it works great while pregnant too...very easy to modify.

Once I got back into shape, I found the Intensity Series AMAZING...even though I got pregnant soon after I got the tapes. The core work on those tapes is phenomenal.

No matter what you chose, you won't go wrong with Cathe.
