Never ever, ever give up....

Oh, I forgot a couple of my favorites as a child. My cousin from France taught me about these. Take dough from a Quiche, wrap it around some chocolate, bake until golden brown and enjoy. Or many of you might already know this one, but it was good anyway, take some chocolate and put inside some crescent dough and bake. Of course all of these can be topped with peanut butter!}(

Some of these sound wonderful for the PMS days, which is the only time I crave sweets. Otherwise, it's chips for me. my favorite thing to do, which is why I don't keep chips in the house, is to take either potato chips or Doritoes and squeeze lemon or lime all over them and then pour tapatio (hot sauce) on them. My mouth is watering now. I HAVE to stay away from the store today...I HAVE to stay away from the store today...

Oh! And chips and salsa and a nice margarita...yeah, these are my weaknesses.

Back when I used to be a carb-o-holic, I used to use frosting to spread between graham crackers (or animal crackers or pretzels or whatever else sounded good). Also a great snack when I was preggo!! ;-)

I have never had a grilled chocolate sandwich or ever even thought of chocolate w/ bread! Chocolate & PB, yes!! :p

Kathy I thought I was only the one who did that!! I also love dill dip and pretzels or choc covered pretzels.

OMG! They make ROLO ice cream??!??!?!?

My Fave is melt some peanut butter in the microwave and pour it on some ice cream. OOOHHH! Thank God there is no ice cream in the house!!!

Sally

Ok, don't anybody freak out on me!! I rarely eat chocolate - or sweets, but if I have homemade peanut butter cookies, I'll eat bunches and bunches of them. I'm mainly a salty eater, so I'd normally go for the popcorn or chips. OR, head straight for the leftovers!!!!:p

I TOTALLY forgot about frosting on graham crackers. Those are great... I think I can count on one hand how many times I've ever had frosting in the house, though, so those were rare. But the frosting was very, very abused during those rare times......

Sara

Me too, most of the stuff on here grossed me out. I have a migraine right now so that could have something to do with it. For me its just plain old peanut butter. I love peanut butter and honey sandwiches! The simpler the better. I can't handle all the whip cream stuff. Yuck! I think it's so funny how people have different tastes. My best friend and I joke about how if she likes something I probably hate it. My husband and I are very similar that way, too!

Sara- that was a staple at my house growing up....frosting on graham crackers! My mom used to decorate cakes, so frosting was ALWAYS around! YUM!

I know this sounds strange, but a true comfort food growing up was heavily buttered toast dipped into hot chocolate!

Melody...have I ever told you how much I love you :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 .

Briee (this thread is too much!!! I am quite sure that Cathe is fixing to lock this any time now....it has to stop!!! It's almost obscene)

Oh this is hilarious.

desperate invented snacks when there are no treats in the house and I'm stressed/bored (add the extra measure of guilt, because I'm trying to eat the Eat to Live way):

honey drizzled over nuts

peanut butter and chocolate chips

peanut butter mixed with sugar and spread on crackers

I've even been known to make a sugar sandwich. soft bread, butter and sugar. It can be warmed up or eaten cold--with or without cinnamon.

or even (this is worse) those hunks of hardened brown sugar straight from the bag.

and if I bake anything, I can't stay away from the dough or batter

oh the food sins I've committed

MMMMMMMM
:9 :9 :9 :9 :9 :9 :9

Briee, you're too funny as always!

Maggie, I completely forgot about eating the sugar/butter sandwiches...I did that as a child. Actually it was sugar/butter toast and my dear grandmother was to blame...spread the white bread heavily with butter, sprinkle heavily with sugar and place in the oven under the broiler. OMG, I want my grandmother (whose in heaven BTW):)

Going to bed now.

I can't keep chocolate chip cookie dough in the house, or I'll eat
nearly half the roll before I bake them. I especially love the
oatmeal-chocolate chip cookie dough! Yum!!
