Have any of you tried it? It is suppose to be like bare essentials but alot cheaper. have you broke out from it and does it cover well?

thanks

I haven't used them, but I read MANY reviews that said it was so shiny that it rendered it totally unusable. I just saw an ad for L'Oreal mineral foundation - don't know when it's coming out, but that might be a decent drugstore alternative.

I tried the Physicians Formula foundation, and thought it was ok, but it irritated my skin. I have sensitive skin, so perhaps this wouldn't happen with everyone, but I believe it's got some preservatives in it that the more expensive brands don't.

For a cheaper version of BE, I *highly* recommend Everyday Minerals. Check out the website: http://www.everydayminerals.com. You can order a very nice sample kit for only the cost of shipping (my shipping cost was $3.50).

How do you find the sample kit info?

(Never mind, I found it!)

I have been using neutrogena for a couple of months and I really like it. I have not had a problem with it being shiny. I use to use BE but this is much cheaper, about $12. I have never broken out, but I have never really had a problem with breaking out. Sometimesmy skin would get itchy from BE, but not with neutrogena. I have not tried the Loreal yet, but probably will eventually.

I just ordered the sample pack.. thanks M... I also tried BE and could never make it look natural.. not sure what I was doing wrong or if I never got the hang of applying it. I even went to a BE store in a mall in DC and had them pick out the right shades for me. Still looked unnatural. I will try this one out and if it doesn't work, I guess it just isn't for me!

Hi, all! I just bought L'Oreal's mineral makeup at Target a few days ago, and so far I like it a lot -- good coverage, easy to use. I actually had tried BE, and found it to be too shiny on me. That isn't the case with L'Oreal. My only problem so far is that I probably should have bought the next darkest shade -- it's so hard to tell without being able to try! But, I think I can make it work.

I'm glad I mentioned the EM then! I think I might "break" and order a kit from them before my BE runs out! The blush I got from them is SO SO SO pretty, and it looks beautiful all day (I got Plum Dust). I'm dying to try out some of their e/s as well - I might just go for the big kit, and save the foundations for when I eventually run out of the BE.

I'm a total convert to the mineral makeup thing. It works really well for me.
