Need Some Expert Advice!

Okay, so I just started Meso 2 today. During Meso 1, I really felt like my weights were just right! Tonight, I felt more like I needed to increase almost all of my weights. Nothing really felt difficult and where we worked to failure, I was always still going and had to stop to pause so I could get my 1 minute rest.

Should I go ahead and increase or stay where I'm at? I want to make sure I'm getting the most out of this Meso Cycle!

The same thing happened to me both times through STS. Although Meso 1 emphasizes endurance, we do in fact increase our strength as well. So I recommend increasing your weights during the workouts so that you do reach failure at the right time, and then, when you find that right weight, change your 1RM. So as you progress, your new workout cards will reflect your strength increases. And congrats on all your strength progress!
 
Thanks! I wasn't sure if I should or not. I'll change it for next week. This is why I'm glad that I'm doing the 6 1/2 month rotation!

I think I remember Cathe answering this question in the STS check in thread back when she was doing STS with us. You might want to search through those. (sorry I'm no help there)

Thanks Wendy! Those are so full of posts since it was started a year ago now that I could spend a couple of days hunting around in there! I tried to read as much as possible before I got STS just to be up to speed when I did get it, but couldn't remember reading about that issue!

Search doesn't work for me sometimes! I get a lot of unrelated material!
