Need recommendations for cardio with no step.

I'm looking for some good floor cardio, no step, low impact preferrably or at least ones that can be modified. I've got everything related to that of Cathe's and am wondering if you could recommend other instructors that are Cathe level workouts.

It's virtually impossible to get advanced low impact floor cardio. You just cannot get your heart rate high enough without using either a step or adding some impact. If it were possible Cathe would do it. Some of her kickbox moves work pretty well low impact.
At the intermediate level I like Kathy Smith's Peak Fat Burning, Leslie Sansone's 4 mile Power Walk (the last 2 miles), Kathy Smith's Latin Dance, and Christy Taylor's stuff (modified to low impact.)

Yes, I think you're right, that's probably why I'm having a hard time finding anything. My knees just can't handle high impact and I can only do bench once or twice per week max without paining them. I do have this old fashioned 8 inch bench that isn't adjustable, so maybe if I buy an adjustable one and lower it to 4 or 6 it would help my knees. Although I don't know if the cardio would be as adequate at those lower levels.

Christi Taylor has some good hi low cardio totally hot cardio is good great music easy to follow and a good workout. Billy Blanks is cool he has a large variety of tapes that are good and can be found at the library to try out. Sorry but noone beats Cathe as an insructor.

Yeah, some of Billy's older tapes, like the Get Ripped Advanced and the Advanced Live series, are actually pretty good. They are not the quality productions of Cathe, and the counting does drive me up a wall, but I get a good fun workout, sweat buckets and they are not really high impact.

Actually, I have the Tae Bo Get Ripped Series and love it, but am sick of it as I've been doing it for years. Christi Taylor gets mentioned now and then, so maybe I'll take a look at those.

You should really get an adjustable step. Over the years I have gone from 8 to 6 to 4 inches as my knees have gotten worse. I can still do almost anything on a 4 inch step. The heart rate is down about 6 beats for every loss of 2 inches of step, but I'm still in the fat burning zone.

you can probably modify KPC to be low impact

I know you said floor cardio but have you considered the Cardio Coach audio series? I alternate these with my Cathe workouts.

Collage video caries them now (along with lots of Cathe stuff) and you can check out the website. I don't mean to push another product on this board, but they are the only other workouts I have that are as intense as my Cathe workouts.

They are designed for any cardio machine, but people run with them and I use them on the rebounder as well as my stationary bike.

Do you have Cathe Kickmax? This one is more of a high/lo floor workout with kickbox moves.

Yes, I do have Kickmax, thanks. I'm just looking to add something new as the few I have are getting repetitive. I don't have any equipment such as a rebounder or staionery bike, but I'll go check these out anyway. Thanks!
