Michele, my DS can find anyone, anyplace, anytime.}(

Wait, I missed that. A flop house? We should all flop there. It would be really really really really really fun. Five reallys. Fun. Otherwise, we could just send all our sisters there. She can annoy them. You get two or three of mine in the same room and you cannot hear yourself think because we all talk so much. A din. Really really really really really!

Not to keep pushing "my" post to the top, but I wanted to let you guys know how much I appreciate your support. I knew I'd get opinions from both sides, and believe me, I FELT all of them before I posted and asked for help! So I appreciate you speaking your mind around here. Everyone.

Okay, but maybe I like the ones who are proud of me a *little* more, LOL }( :7

And Nance, I'm coming out. Don't worry. I'm not sure if I can figure out how to do it before classes start again, but NY is at the top of my list. ;)

And Bobbi, you've made AZ make my list, too! ;)

M&M, you're just gonna have to come and find me }(

We love you, Amy and we are protective. ;)

And everyone is invited for a slumber party whenever you can make it. Especially Michele because I want to dress her as a Sahuaro and put her in a sombreo! Arriba!

I'm ROTFLMAO!!! I've always heard that in order for something to be funny there needs to be an element of truth to it. I think some would say that this old broad can be as prickly as a cactus--lol! I appreciate the safe harbor, Bobbi, and I'm on my way:)

Amy - I can see you got alot of different responses....its good to get different answers. After just reading your post - I responded very differently than most of the girls - and given that particular situation that you posted, I would still say let your sis stay in the house, no big deal.....HOWEVER.......obviously there is much more going on in the situation than meets the eye and I have not read any other posts regarding your sister and your situation.

When it comes to family - dynamics can vary greatly!! Like I said before - I have a sister who is night and day personality to me - I constantly feel like I give and give also.....but there have been times I have put my foot down as well and times I have reached out and done what she wanted despite my feelings.

Everyone has a different breaking point and everyone should take a stand at some point when it comes to family. As long as you feel comfortable with your decision, than that is the right decision for you - no matter what anyone else thinks......nobody is in your shoes and can make those choices for you, but it sounds like you did what is best for you. I did not mean to offend anyone by voicing my opinion based on your post - like I said - apparently there is more going on then meets the eye......good luck with everything.......

Reba, I thought you in particular did a very nice job dissenting and being unjudgemental and very kind. Which is why when I mentioned karma, I winked. Knowing that Amy has such a good heart, I have no doubt that she should be the ricipient of very good karma! I hope that didn't strike you as a dig. It was not my intention. Some of the posts, did indeed take Amy's situation persoanally as was pointed out. It is quite natural. I have sisters. I know how that is. My crack about co-dependancy was born the idea that Amy's sister desperately needed Amy's houses and would suffer dreadfully if Am could not be convinced of that. I do not believe that to be true obviously. I think Amy would regret being pressed to do something her heart tells her not to. I also took exception to the idea that Amy's sister should never speak to her again should she say no. I have a big, often dysfuncitonal family, inclined enabling and up until recently we have all managed to conflict and remain close knit and on speaking terms. I won't go into that but I feel very deeply that under no circumstances, barring the extreme, do families ever need to break off commnications over such matters. Good communications and boundaries ensure that. ;) I apologize to you if I made you feel I was directing my comments at you. I admittedly have a very big mouth but it was not my intention to hurt your feelings. I thought your posts were nice and you do not stike me as judgemtal or presumtuous. You were very clear that you would do it differently and mentioned you sister directly. I thought of few of the posts had a nasty tone. Yours did not!

Edited to say: Rereading, I feel I should have clairified that you from the start, that I was not directing my comments to you, Reba. The fact that you came back, worried that you had offended speaks volumes. Again, you did not. :) Please forgive me if I seemed to be giving you a hard time.

Michele, I swear to God, there is a Sahauro over on Linda Vista and it is flipping me off. :) I can see you standing next to "her", in a sombrero, say, giving the finger in the other direction? Prinkly, indeed. Get out of town! http://www.clicksmilies.com/s0105/lachen/laughing-smiley-013.gif

No worries - I didn't think anyone was really putting digs in at me personally -

I just love the supportive nature of this forum and wanted to make sure that my post was not taken the wrong way or offensive to anyone :)
