I need some advice from an objective third party. Last week when I was at work the owner of our company interviewed a retired professional athlete to work in our office.
The other woman I worked with kept saying how "hot" she heard he was and she even went on the internet to see if she could find info. on him! (which I thought was pretty creepy).
Anyway the guy came in for the interview and was OK but not what she blew him up to be. Meanwhile, my boss was in and he is a good-looking guy. As soon as I came in his office to ask him something work related he said "so is he cute" and I said "he's alright" but not as cute as you." And we forgot about the conversation.
I left for lunch and came back and the other woman I work with was in his office and I overheard her say that "you can get in trouble for making those type of remarks" "My boyfriend's had a co-worker who was repremanded for those type of remarks". Meanwhile, she was going on and on about how hot this athlete was before this happened. I don't feel anything out of line was said on my part, but it bothers me that when I was out of the office, she started talking to him. I wasn't there, so I don't know exactly what was said prior to me coming in from lunch.
I think she's trying to make trouble. But my boss didn't seem taken aback (he's made subtle comments to me which I never took offence to) because we're all adults here. This woman is constantly subtly putting me down and trying to make trouble between my boss and I. She's made remarks on how stupid he is and yet when he's in the office she kisses up to him. My dh said I didn't say anything wrong.
Just needed advice.
