Hi Everybody,

I don't post here very often but I do visit the forum several times a week. I feel we're joined by our love of fitness and Cathe's videos. Anyway, from reading various posts I know this a good place to come for some support and a few kind words.

I just have to say that July has been a month from Hell (and I'm not referring to the hot Arizona weather either.) It started on July 6th when my next door neighbor passed away. My husband and I had gone out of town on the 4th and when we got back home late on the 6th I knew something was wrong. He was an elderly man and had his different rituals that he did everyday. I noticed when we got home that all his blinds were still open in his windows and he never left them open at night. Anyway, I found out on Monday morning that he had died while we were away.

On July 15th I had to put our family pet to sleep. She was a Black Lab named Molly the best dog anyone could ask for. She was 15 years old. Even though I knew she was suffering it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do in my life.

The 24th was the second anniversary of my husband's mother's death.

Then today a good friend of my husband and I passed away. He was only 34 years old and died from melanoma. We're going to miss him alot.

Then to top it all off my husband is battling legal issues with his company and it has him extremely stressed out (not to mention myself).

Needless to say my fitness routine has suffered this month. I haven't felt like doing much of anything lately. Thanks for listening everybody. It feels better to write it down and get it out.

Hi Jacque!

Jacque~I'm sorry to hear of your sad experiences these past few months. Glad you shared with us. I have had some times just like these in the past including losing my very favorite brother (MY ONLY BROTHER) to melanoma at the age of 44 two years ago. I've also lost both parents to a car accident and heart attack (43 & 54 years old). It is never easy but the hurt does soften as time goes on. There will always be a hole in my/your heart for the loss of these loved ones. I'm sorry, I don't mean to turn the attention to me. I am just trying to say, I feel your pain and hope and pray for you to feel better soon. Also, if you can force yourself to do a workout, I bet it will help to release some tension you are feeling. If not, do it when you feel better. THINKING of you and a big hug to you {{{JACQUE}}}! Debbie

One more thing!

Sorry to hear of your dog. We also put our dog to sleep (a collie) after having her for 14 years. She was truly a part of our family and it WAS one of the hardest things we did too, even knowing it was BEST for her! Another hug to you!!

Jacque,

I certainly feel for you. I have experienced great losses also and I know how painful they can be. I posted recently what a hard time I was having and got a huge amount of support. I don't have a lot of words to offer; please just know that time heals all wounds. My oldest son was killed in an automobile accident nine years ago. The pain hasn't gone away, but it has lessened somewhat.

I, too, live in Arizona. Please feel free to email me anytime.

Jacque,
Definitely sounds like you've had a very tough month. I hope things get much better for you. I wish I had some magic words for you to make you feel better. Thinking of you.

Hi Jacque! I'm sooo very sorry to hear about all of these things that your going through. This is by far a very stressful time for you and your husband. I too had to put my beloved Rottweiler down when he was 10 yrs. old. Hardest thing I ever had to do, too. Have wonderful and loving memories of my (1st baby) as my husband and I called him. I too had to deal with the death of my mother-in-law as well as a very young close friend of my husband's (he was only 38). Through everything though I did try to keep up with my workouts even through that dreadful day of 9/11th. I was across the street at the time and saw everything before my eyes. I kept working out w/Cathe. She was my salvation and my sanity even through depression. You'd be surprised how much relief you get from exercising. Your mind is completely on your workout and for just a short time you shut out the world. My heart goes out to both of you. This will pass and brighter things are on the horizon. Stay well! Kathy

Hello, Jacque! I'm truly sorry about the very difficult times you've been going through this month! I'm glad, though, that you came here for some support/friendship. The people here sure are awesome! I am sending you a very big cyber-hug!!

Hi, Jacque,
You have truly had a month from hell! Although, thank goodness, I haven't had to deal with human deaths this month, I, too lost a wonderful friend. My dog, Willie, whom I have had since he was less than a year old, had a massive stroke on July 2nd. My vet did all he could, but he continued to have more strokes, and on the 7th, he died.

Willie was nearly 17 years old. I had him with me for nearly 16 years--longer than I've had my hubby. Willie would follow me anywhere, staying with me when I was sick or injured, playing with me when I was down, and always letting me know he was there for me.

Hang in there!

Hang in there. You have more than your fair share of saddness to contend with. Rent some of your favorite comedies...and read Trevor's posts. You can use a good laughing fest.
