Cathlete
Ok I'm hungry and I was waiting until they showed Cathe and they just showed a couple of clips. I saw Cathe once doing some push-ups using a 4" topper. They were talking about sports related injuries on Baby Boomers. I'm going to have some dinner now. I wanted to see an interview with Cathe. ;(

You know I'm a little bit confused. Did Cathe give them an interview? or did she know in advance that they were going to show clips only? I'd be disappointed if I spent a day of my busy schedule and they showed 2 second clips only, but I don't know the whole story.

Edited to add: Cathe mentioned the following on her thread:
" >They also informed me that the segment had to be narrowed down
>for content and that most likely only a short clip of my class
>would be shown. I'm really not all that surprised by this
>since this is how a lot of "show biz" operates. "

She spent the day with these folks and they only showed 2 second clips?! Give me a break!

Cathe said on the blog they came to the club to film. I'd assume that if someone interviewed her she would have said so. It was nice to see her on national TV, though, even for a few seconds here and there.

They showed a bunch of people on a treadmill and stuff but like a millisecond clip of her and you couldn't even see her face. How pathetic. Like I stated in the Ask Cathe forum, I hope someday soon someone takes notice of Cathe and gives her a segment on some show. She has been such an inspiration to many to get people to go further in fitness than they ever thought possible. We'll just have to keep praying that our girl will get some credit soon!!!

OPRAH!

Look, I work in news -- it's all about viewers, ratings, $$$. Unless Paris Hilton is taking your class, sadly, producers won't give you more than 2 seconds (if that).

What I think is Cathe could/should be a fitness contributor/analyst on a regular basis. Whether that's for regular spots on Oprah (although she's got Bob Greene, I think Oprah could use some fun aerobic-music-type flavor to her fitness persuasion!), OR whether it's on a news program, Cathe would be a good contributor on a regular basis. Looks like she's building a foundation for that right now with the short interviews, etc.

Who knows, she might not even want to, but who wouldn't?! What a COOL gig.

I still say Oprah needs to understand the fun-fitness of aerobics and how the Cathe team incorporates the kinesiology-fitness aspect with fun-music-aerobics with mind-body-grounding.

Cathe rocks! She's the best!

>Has Oprah ever been contacted about Cathe?
>
>Lisa

I don't know, but millions of people try to contact Oprah every week so doing this probably wouldn't make a difference.

I missed the whole segment entirely. I agree with newswoman also, about having Cathe appear on Oprah, but, on the other hand, maybe we ought to keep Cathe as our "little secret". ;-)
