My "what not to wear" moments

What about the real world?

I really wish Stacy and Clinton would do a show like "What Not to Wear Goes to Target". Hey, you'd only need $500, not $5000, and be set for years! It would be more helpful for someone like me to know that even on a budget, you can dress appropriately and know what to avoid for your body type.

RE: What about the real world?

I don't watch Stacy and Clinton that much, but I am truly addicted to Trinny and Susannah. My friend sent me their very fist book, called "Ready 2 Dress" It's no longer in print, and goes for more than 100 dollars on Ebay!! All of their books are funny, but this one is especially campy.

I don't think a person needs to spend an arm and a leg on a wardrobe. There are plenty of lower priced options out there that still look great and are of nice quality. I think the best thing to do is dress for your body type. If you know your rules, you won't go wrong--no matter if you are shopping at Target or Neiman Marcus.

I also think if you are going to shell out serious cash on something, make sure you can wear it with several things in your wardrobe, is a somewhat neutral color, and will last several seasons. I never spend big money on fads, or things that are overly trendy.

Diane, that's a fabulous idea!! Good thinking! If I were you, I'd call the network.

Lori,
I agree. I don't like fashion, because if what looks good on your body type is out of fashion, you can't buy it anywhere. I just don't give a hoot for fashion.
