I was in physical therapy for two years
And it was only 15 years later when I took up doing yoga with my computer (yeah yoga today dot com) that I realigned my back and neck and got two inches of height out of it. My neck had a hump in it I looked like the hunch back from notre dame. I had been in a car accident when I was eleven years old and slammed head first into the dash board, no seat belt. I had gone to gyms for years and not really lost much weight, if anything I put on pounds. People were always telling me not to work so hard (my face turns red) but now that I don't worry about what I look like I push myself and I'm finally seeing improvement. Because of my rapid breath of fire (hence my handle) I no longer get a pain in my side from cardio-it just never happens even if I'm out of breath or sucking it in. I can push on my intervals up to 185 beats per minute and yeah I'm working but no pain.
Now my neck is normal. I can run for a couple of minutes at a time up hill. I've dropped over 60 pounds. And all it took was my lap top, a heart rate monitor, a step and consistency. Oh btw I'm down from a size 22 to a 14. I haven't shopped in normal sizes in over ten years.
So, who says home fitness doesn't work?
