My puppy needs a prayer or two......

Thanks all.....the good doggie vibes must be working!!! At least nothing big and scary showed up on the ultrasound. His spleen is enlarged, that could mean any number of things, one of them being the big "C". But let's not go there just yet, please. She still thinks it could be valley fever....which is a fungul infection of the lungs....just like Shannon's friend's dog. He lost 4 pounds this week alone!! She thinks it is this or another lung infection, caused by another fungus....I forget what she called it. They pulled some cells from his spleen(poor baby)and sent it to the lab. She is hoping for the report back tomorrow. I really appreciate all the thoughts and kind words for my baby.....keeping my fingers crossed,

Donna

Oh Donna I hope everything is ok with your baby. My dogs are my children and I know how much it hurts to see them sick or hurting. I will be thinking about you.

I am praying for your puppy .I check with the Cathe site every so often,as I am a long time Cathite just not much of a computer person. My lab of 15 years died the weekend before thanksgiving. Lady was a great pet she was a black lab. then the very next day my sons decided we needed to jump right back in and my oldest brought home a yellow lab who is now 4 months old and looks alot like your Bailey and is also very much a momma's puppy as she is now my baby my youngest being almost 17 she truly is agift I miss my Lady everyday but am thankful that she died right here in our home with me and my son,Harry, holding her I hope tomorrow brings you good news my prayers and thoughts will be with you

Donna, as a lab lover myself (ours is a 2 year old yellow) I send you many many prayers and huggs! We had a friend who's 2 black labs came down with a similar case I can't remember what the name of it was... anyway they made it through and so will yours... give all your dogs BIG Hugs!! Susan

Do you feed him Greenies? IF so tell your vet to check for obstructions in his esophogaus and elsewhere. Just saw a news flash on this - the product is causing major problems for dogs!!!! Very dangerous to feed dogs since it does not digest/break down.

Good luck!!!
