My left side is MUCH weaker than my RIGHT!!

Hi. I am LEFT HANDED, and I cannot do as many biceps curls, or triceps work with my left arm as I can with my right. It is a noticeable difference. I can use a 12 pound weight and do about 3 set of 10 with my right, but only about 3 sets of 4 with my left. That, to me, seems like a HUGE lopsidedness, (is that a word?)

Anyway, I switch then, to a lighter weight with my left arm, but that would mean that my left will never catch up to my right. It gets so discouraging!!! And my left hand is all I use to write with, I do most other things with my right hand so in a way I am ambidexterous.

What should I do? Wait until my left arm catches up with my right? I cannot even get the bicep curl halfway up after about 4-5 reps. HELP, please, this is driving me CRAZY!!!!

Hi Jackie!

I just answered a very similar post recently. It was on August 1st and the poster's screen name was Smokie. Even though she is asking about her weaker shoulder, the same rules apply for any part of the body. So you can just follow the same advice I gave her.

You can find her question(and my reply) by running a search. To do that 1) Click on the flashlight icon at the top of the forum page, 2) enter "one side weaker" as your key words 3) For which forum, select "ask Cathe" 4) For which field, select "search all fields" 5) Then select in the last "one month" 6) By pass the archive option 7) Click on "search now"

Please post back if you have any further questions
