My hubby loves Kickbox Xpress!!

Let me say that it was an eye opening experience for him...During the warm-up he mentioned that we must be about half-way done, right? I said, "No honey, this is still the warm-up." First he looks at me like, "Okay sweetie, whatever you say", then we get to the workout and he is asking me when she's going to give him a break? Well, he made it to the plyo scissors and waved the white flag!! Didn't do the arm drills, or the biceps, or the abs...Now, don't get me wrong - I loved working out with him, and we did the same tape again the next night (Because he is hooked now!), and we did everything but the weights. But, I must say to be the energizer bunny, still going, when my muscular Marine is sucking down a water, watching - well, I felt so proud of myself for my accomplishment - not to mention proud that my DH is now convinced, and is striving to do better and better!!! Yeay us!! One other thing that I know you will all enjoy - while doing the arm drills the 2nd time we did the tape, he said "This is the bicep work, right?". No honey, that's next.....Whew!

I had the same kind of experience last week when my DH joined me for just the strength sections. He was counting down the minutes just doing those! I'm going to TRY to get him to do the kickbox aerobic section also being that it is probably the easiest choreography-wise. We'll see how he does. I think it's amazing that these men can lift huge bags of softener salt, furniture, etc., but when it comes to 8-20 pound dumbells, we are stronger then them?? Glad your hubby is hooked. Another shocking revelation...

Girls, I love that man - he keeps surprising me!! Last night I went to the park to walk with my neighbor, my DH wasn't home from work yet. Well, when I got home, I asked if he worked out. HE said, Yeah - I did the first part of POWER CIRCUIT!! When I didn't believe him, he told me it was still in the VCR : He made it to the step portion. I was SO PROUD!! Cathe has done an amazing thing, she got my DH ready to learn how to do STEP aerobics. Just another reason to add to the list of her many accomplishments!!
 
STRONGER THAN DH?

Thats a great question DebbieH. My DH does not workout and I have been serious for a little over a year now. I don't think he could do the push-ups that I do or the 20-25 pound dumbell curls.
I would love to hear if anyone else thinks this is the case for them.

My husband started Leaner Legs with me two weeks ago. He gave up during the warm-up squats that used no weights. All day long he said his legs felt like concrete. He can squat 200 pounds, but Cathe did him at at 0#. He vowed never to do leaner legs again. Hopefully he will not give up on trying some of the other tapes.

Cathe, you have made a serious impression on my DH!! Unfortunately, he has been having some back pain (Ongoing for about 10 years now - car accident + construction work = pain, pain & chiropractic bills!) He was feeling much better yesterday, so we walked 3 miles at the park. When we got home, we did the end of Power Circuit (abs) and 30 minutes of Kathy Smith's New Yoga. He felt so great after all this, and it's a good thing because we had a very important evening - the PRINCE CONCERT!!! Needless to say, by the end of yesterday, I was sore everywhere from walking, plank work, Yoga and excessive dancing/screaming!! I can't BELIEVE how sore my abs are today!!! You can't beat a day like that with a stick!!!! I'm still bubbling over with excitement today - sickening, isn't it???
And I believe my DH will be ready to try 10-10-10 when he gets home from work!!!! Life is good..........
