Nope, I have gmail, and just the standard spam folder, the FBI has written me quite a few times, multiple banks from around the world with millions, maybe it's billions now to deposit in my account mainly from Nigeria and 1 from Malaysia, promises of better sex and longer body parts , oh wait I'm not a guy, and here's a new one, a guy from Texas (street address provided) who said he was scammed by the banks of Nigeria and the FBI charged him $190 to help him get his $15,000,000 payday directly from the Nigerian bank.

Sorry, totally off topic. What kind of mail do you use? Have you checked to see if they have a level of security setting, maybe yours is on code red ;). I assume your friends are in your address book, which right there should prevent that from happening.

If you have outlook (this is a common outlook problem) have you tried clicking on your junk folder and then right clicking on the email from your friend? Then in the drop down select "junk mail" and then select "add sender to safe list". Next right click on the same email and select "junk mail" once again. This time select "mark as not junk". This will move your email to your inbox. You should also make sure your friends are added to your "Contacts" as this will help to prevent this from happening in the first place.

my friends are in my contacts. i have Windows Mail. picking "mark as not junk" has not worked. i have emailed them for years.

This will happen with Windows email occasionally even for your most frequent contacts. It's a very common problem. Did you also try adding the good junk email to your safe senders list?

The next thing to look at is your email preference settings for your email. On my vista outlook computer I click on tools and then select options. Then select "junk mail". Then lower your spam filter selection.
