hello--- just started using this great site-- however, i'm confused when it comes to entering data around strength training. i'm thinking you have to add evey set and weight--which is a lot if you are doing sts-- but then, i don't see where it does anything with it--- no calories burned? it worked great when i entered cardio---
am i missing something?

I always just fake the strength training -- somehow made my own entry for it and put in the calories burned without getting specific about type of exercise......
 
When I used fitness pal I wore my hr monitor for each strength training DVD that I did and then just entered it manually. Hth?
 
I wear a heartrate monitor and just add the total calorie burn in the cardio section because I would go crazy and give up quickly if I had to figure out each exercise I do. I love this program though for logging food. They have an extensive database and I am more than willing to add to it:D Maybe they should do the same with workout dvds;) and get everyone to log calories burned for particular workouts. I guess I should not expect that LOL but it would be nice.
 
I just put all my workouts in as cardio workouts so that I can add the calories burned. I really can't imagine why they don't have that option for the weight training - I certainly burn quite a few calories when I lift.
