My Exam Status (if you're interested)

For all you lovely supportive people out there, just to let you know that I'm halfway done with my Con Law Exam! I barely studied for it, but I don't think studying would have helped, and I really paid attention all term anyway. It was multiple choice, 45 questions, 90 minutes. I finished in 80 minutes, which for me was a long time for 45 questions. I of course wish I knew all the answers, but I know I didn't! ;) I'm in the law library right now about to start on the second half of the exam, which is a take-home 2000 word essay. :(

I have to work Tuesday and Wednesday, then my next exam (wonderful world of civil procedure) is Thursday night, work Friday, then my last exam (fascinating and terrible world of evidence) is next Monday night. THEN I can relax!!!

Which is to say, I'll be seeing a lot of you on the boards this weekend!! LOL

Thanks again, everyone!!

I hope you do well! I am in just about the same boat....and as a side note, don't ever complain to your teacher you didn't get all your points!! They'll find some somewhere else to take away from you. x(

How in the world?!!!! do you make something so stressful, sound so cheerful?!!!!

You are amazing, and I know you'll be amazing for your next exams.

Amy, you are such a hoot! I'm telling you what--if the internet had been around back when I was in school I never would've made it. I think the only one who procrastinates more than you is me--LOL!

I think you're going to be a great lawyer! I wish you all my best on your exams.

Michele

LOL Michele, I don't know about that!! I procrastinate more than most, I admit. When I was an undergrad, my first year, the internet wasn't around and MAN did I keep my room CLEAN!!!! Sigh. Now that I have the internet and exercise, my house is a trash pit! LOL.

I did develop some sort of internal clock at some point along the way- I wouldn't worry about something until it was TIME and then I'd just go and do it. I guess that served me okay so far... but I'm not done with school yet, so that fear is still there! }(

now i'm sitting in the living room, all set to start back in on my "essay" (Which right now is just a list of about 2 pages of questions I've asked myself, LOL), my DH is nearby watching wrestling on TV, i've got earplugs in and my tummy is all full of taco bell (ick, but it sounded so yummy on the train home!!), and what am I doing? i'm typing to you guys!!! :7

I love it!!! And having something to procrastinate does get lots of other stuff accomplished... that's what I'm trying to focus on!! :D

Amy, methinks thou shalt disconnect internet connection during exam time.;-) But you're probably one of those folks who do better under pressure. Good luck, Amy!

Yo quiero Taco Bell,
Pinky:)

Yikes, Amy, just the word "evidence" still makes me shake. I was so bad at it. Civil procedure wasn't too bad though. Although today all I can remember is that for every pleading there is some kind of answer. LOL. Good thing I'm not a trial lawyer.

Just remember that where in college you might have been discouraged by a "C", in law school it's a very respectable grade.

Lots of luck!

-Nancy

Good luck on exams! And remember, it only gets easier from here - the first year is the worst and the rest is downhill from there. I had a hard time with Con law, but loved Civil Procedure (I am civil litigator now, go figure).
