Hi All!
I received the 'Core Foundations' DVD yesterday and gave it a whirl last night. Here are my thoughts:
The moves are new and interesting, true, and JAC is a decent instructor in most respects (i.e. not to much 'woo-hoo', straight-forward delivery, etc...), but there were times when difficult moves (such as those tick-tocks with a stability ball between your legs in a push-up position) needed more detailed instruction. Frankly, I fell on my face doing these and was nervous that I pulled a muscle in my leg. I'm not feeling it yet, thank goodness (crossing my fingers) : )
I didn't mind that the set was pretty basic and everyone wasn't dressed in the same clothing. I just want a tough workout! There were points, however, when I couldn't tell exactly what was being done and the cues weren't there, so...
It wasn't all bad, of course. I think that I will add this dvd to my rotation for a few weeks and see what happens. All of the stability ball usage is a nice change and the plank work is tough. It will be a nice challenge! I do have Cathe to thank, however, for giving me the strength to do 90% of 'Core Foundations' on the first try.
When the DVD was over I put in Cathe's Ab Hits and did a 10-minute ab section. I'm just too spoiled. :7 There just aren't any comparisons to Cathe's workouts.
Take care, everyone, and keep up the great work!
