Music on exercise DVDs/videos

I've noticed that music is very important to a lot of people when working out. I know that it important to help keep me motivated. ;-) I was just curious which exercise videos/dvd's do you really like or really dislike the music on? I bought an old Firm dvd (Super Cardio Mix) a couple of months ago and HATE the music on it. The music starts out like its a porno then moves into a kind of horror flick soundtrack. I keep waiting for Jason to come in and start stabbing people. :7 (The set is kind of like a mansion-? which makes it even more creepy to me.) I've really never had such a negative reaction to an exercise dvd before. It gives me the creeps just thinking about it! :D

I was curious what others thought. :)

I love the music on IMAX2,Stepblast,KPC,and RS to name a few. I thought I wouldn't like the music on the older workouts(MIC and CardioHits) but I actually liked them as well. It brought back some 80's memories for me.;-)

BTW, what Firm workout is this that takes place in a mansion? One of the newer ones?

It's actually one of the older ones with some of the original Firm instructors. It actually seems like it would be a decent workout, I just can't get over the music! :) I guess I will continue to stick with Cathe! ;-)

I pretty much like the music on all Cathe's DVDs, except for the three that came out together about a year or two ago (I think they were Basic Step, Body Fusion and Advance High Step). The music that stands out in my mind as the best was the music in Body Blast and the Intensities. I also like the CTX music alot.

That's Funny! I usually put my own music on when DVD's or tapes have crappy music. The only thing with that is that you have to know the workout first.

My favorite series of Cathe's for music is the Hardcore's. It's excellent. She even has an actual BonJovi song in Imax 3. I think maybe cuz she's from NJ, she probably got the go ahead to use it. I also like the music in the Intensity Series, Body Blast Series.

I did Low Impact Step for the first time the other day and did not care much for it. I tend to like the vocal music better than the instrumental. Low Max's music is good and I agree with the other posters regarding RS's & Step Blast's music.
