Muscle Max

I FINALLY got my DVDs yesterday -- after the UPS guy didn't deliver them on Friday because he couldn't find my house. Right. I live on the corner of a main street, but whatever. Anyway, I just loved Muscle Max. I think this might become my favorite total body workout. The pacing was perfect for someone like me who is not that dexterous with plate changing. I never fell behind or hurt myself trying to rush to change plates on my barbell. The exercises are interesting and the flow is awesome. An altogether stupendous workout.

I did this last night also and I really liked it! It was a nice pace and you could use heavy weights without feeling like you were rushed on the reps, etc.

The one thing is that I didn't really feel a LOT of (Added) tension by the band in the leg presses. I had the thing wrapped pretty tightly too. Did I do something wrong?

But MY OH MY did I feel that band work on the triceps! I was already fried when I got there and then when she took out the band, yowch! For the lst 7 reps...smokin'!

This will be ome of my favorites too! ;)

I haven't tried these yet (I'm still waiting to pick up my Dvd's from the USPS package annex), but since the leg muscles are soooo much stronger than the triceps, you will either need to shorten the band by holding it farther from the ends, or (if that won't work well), get a tougher band.

I felt the same way about the band. When doing the leg press, I found that I had to tighten it up a lot and concentrate on staying down all the way through the move and then I did feel it a lot. The kickbacks were KILLER. It's definitely one of those moves that I will have to be relentless about form. I enjoyed the core/ab section because it was so different.

That might be the thing that I need to do...I had it wrapped rather tightly and pretty short and I just wasn't feeling it. It was hurting my hands more than my legs! Usually her moves KILL me though so I wondered if I did something wrong.

I have done a few other HC workouts that use the band for the leg press. I keep feeling the same way, and choking up on the band. But...

this morning my husband said that my hiney was looking tighter (in clothes..and I have had HC for a week now, doing a w/o every day...even 2!!) and I have been noticing a little DOMS in the rear, so maybe it is an exercise that we do, and don't really feel until later?

Either way, HC is awesome!! I did Muscle Max for the first time this moring and I also loved it!

I think you're suppose to stay down in a semi-lunge throughout the entire exercise, lunging deeper on the bottom part of the move.
