Muscle Mass/Strength

I need help with a strength rotation.(not too much cardio, 3 days) I dont need to loose weight, I want to build muscle(Think Jai or Cathe herself). I know it will take a lot of work(years) but I need a good start. I've been working out for about 2 months with Cathe so far, but I need a solid rotation. Here are the videos I have:

S&H series
Power Hour
Muscle Endurance
Boot Camp
Cardio Kicks
Rythmic step
Cardio & Weights
Ab & Butt video from another trainer

Also, some suggestions on other videos I can add, as well as other videos for getting over a plateu once reached would be helpful too!

Thanks everyone!
:D

Hi,

My suggestion would be to try three to four weeks of S&H once a week. It seems you have more muscle endurance and cardio besides that. Have you thought about getting the PS series or the Pyramids. I did a 12 week PS rotation and seen great results when I was getting back into weights after being a cardio fanatic for about 5 years..
The Pyramids are great too!!!

Sounds like doing the cardio of your choice three times a week would go good with the S&H to start though...

You will get other great suggestions here...

Good luck and let us know how it goes..

Thanks! I will...
I did think about getting the Pyramids or PS series. The PS series was next on my list actually but Pyramids is getting to the top I think. Whichever one, Im sure they will work great.

Do you think its okay to go ahead and still do a muscle endurance video once or twice a week though? Or maybe just do the strength parts of them instead?

Hi! I think a muscle endurance once a week would be fine. I would stick with one though if you are trying to gain mass and strength..

So did you decide on PS or Pyramids?? Have fun and let us know how it goes.

Actually, both! I figure, I could always use them so what the heck. I also thought that maybe I might like PL better than PS Legs, and want to switch. Or, just use the pyramids on another rotation.

Have to start my collection somewhere....

I did think about getting Supersets or Mis as well, I just don't know which one?

I started with Pyramids and saw great improvments, then added Leg & Glutes and really saw a difference in my hips. If you are looking for suggestions to buy other than what you already have those 2 would be my pick.

I don't have the last one you asked about but I do have supersets & push-pull DVD and it's great for a "lighter" day. And I don't mean they are easy, just not as intense as Pyramids. :)

Right now my weight lifting rotation (this doesn't include cardio and yoga):
Day 2 Pyramid LB
Day 3 Pyramid UB + abs
Day 5 L&G + abs from KPC
Day 7 ME or Push-pull or Supersets or BC or Circut Max (for me I like having one "choice" day with lighter weights more of my endurance day)

You may want something more intense, but this has worked well for me. I tried doing Pyramid 4 days per week: LB, UB, LB, UB. But that left me too fatigued. Also I'm a swimmer so I needed more LB work which is why I added L&G.
